Auburn offense about to have their bast game of the season
Nope...that will occur in late October when Auburn plays Mississippi State.
State's defense would make Ivy League schools' offenses look All-Pro.

SEC would be stupid not to have Texas and LSU play every year.
I'm with you on that. Would be a dumb move.
I think LSU should have Texas and MS State as their permanent two.

(how does a 19 win team get a 6 seed?)
The advantage of playing in the Big XII...you will have a lot of opportunities to get big wins.
The disadvantage of playing in the Big XII...you will have a lot of opportunities for many losses.
ISU big wins:
Baylor (3 times)
TCU (2 times)
Kansas
Texas
Kansas State

This is such horse shite we have been “considered” since we beat TCU and have won 4 games since including Missouri and at Arkansas.
The disrespect is astonishing. I bet if we beat Kentucky we still won’t even crack the last 4 in
This is from SAT morning....on SAT night after State beat Arkansas Joe Lunardi had the Bulldogs in the Last Four In group.

This was a rebuilding year for OM. Whether you want to believe it or not, it's the truth.
My guess is, you don't want to admit that your prized win was over a rebuilding rival.
I think it was a "rebuilding year" for Ole Miss. But Kiffin did a great job getting Evans through the portal and a stud Freshman in Judkins...both impacting the offense immediately.
Yes, the Egg Bowl win is the prized win of the year. What was Ole Miss' "prized win" of their season? The Kentucky win that you stated and we all know were lucky as hell to win?? 3-pt win vs A&M?
Kiffin and Ole Miss know if they want to take the next step, then they have to get some studs in the trenches. Ole Miss was pushed around against LSU, Arky, and State.
Kiffin should have thrown the ball more downfield over the top in the Egg Bowl. Why he didn't do that...I don't know. State's defense won them the game. Ole Miss' 3-FGs in the first-half may be a combination of good defense and questionable play-calling.
If you would have told me before the game that Will Rogers would have 3 turnovers in the Egg Bowl I would have said that Ole Miss wins by at least 20pts.
What is the "real" Ole Miss? The team that beats up GA Tech, Vandy, Auburn?
Or the team that gets physically dominated by Arky, LSU, and State?
State wins the Egg Bowl...it's our prized win of the season. We finished above in the SEC standings even having to play UGA while the Rebels played Vandy. And get to gloat for another 12months. Hopefully Ole Miss is out of their "rebuilding" mode next season.
Hail State.

It's up there definitely.
I put the ESPN-NBA deal (9 years at $1.4B) where the NBA ratings have been complete garbage the past four seasons and the ESPN/Texas LHN contract (20 years $300M) ahead of the Fisher extension catastrophe in my opinion.

Haha. Apparently they did not watch any film on State this year.

Full slate. Weird CBS didnt pick Bama-MSU but I will take it
Is there still a clause in the SEC/CBS TV contract that a team cannot be aired more than 5-games during the regular season on CBS?
I remember back in 2014 when State and Ole Miss had that "great" season that CBS had to choose the Egg Bowl matchup over the Iron Bowl because CBS had already aired Bama five times during the regular season and could not be televised six times due to a clause in the TV contract w/ the SEC.
State with one loss was #4 and Ole Miss was #18 with three losses and Bama was #1 with one loss and Auburn was #15 with three losses.
CBS chose LSU/Ole Miss this year in order to be able to choose the Iron Bowl at the end of the year. That's most likely their objective. They want Bama @ LSU or @ Ole Miss to be their 4th game.
BAMA on CBS this year:
1. Arkansas
2. A&M
3. Tennessee
4. *(either Ole Miss @ Oxford; or LSU in Baton Rouge)
5. *(most likely Iron Bowl)

I fully expect this game to do down to the wire. Any State fan who says otherwise is still drunk from the weekend.
This is the most physically aggressive team Leach has had @ State.
Keys for State:
1. Keep running the ball
2. Keep running the ball
3. Protect Rogers
4. Win the Turnover battle

Leadership role
Posted by showoff on 10/3/22 at 9:30 am
The Saints are missing leadership early in the season.
Demario, Cameron, Ingram...someone needs to step up. Seems Demario was that man the past two seasons but something is lacking here.
The Saints are making mental and quite fixable mistakes. Cut out the dumb penalties (false-starts) and fumbles especially in the first half. They are lacking attention to detail.
Next two games are in the Superdome. Bring the juice.
Getting back to .500 is doable.
If Geno Smith and the Seahawks come in and get the Win this upcoming Sunday, then this team is done this season ha.

I recall some LSU poster said they put pressure on Rodgers, and that was the difference.
Yep, LSU brought pressure almost every snap in the second half. Rogers would buckle. State/Rogers made zero adjustments in the second half.
State's defense played well but were on the field way too much in the second half and the muffed punt broke the Bulldogs.

This is the first I’ve heard Miss St has a better defensive front than Arkansas.
Is that correct?
It's not bad...better than Arky? I don't know about that.
A&M does have playmakers and depth. Playing in Starkville will be an advantage for State.
In order for State to win conference games, they have to protect Rogers and win the Turnover battle. If they don't do that, they lose. It's that simple for Leach teams at State.
re: Alright, Grinders....

Does State continue to run the ball? If not, aggy will figure out State's OL by halftime. aggy has a good run front but a weak secondary.
Can Rogers get protection?
Can State win the Turnover battle?
If yes, then State wins.
Leach's weakness is his halftime adjustments (or lack thereof)...good coach's make theirs on Leach...then again Leach is coaching against 8&4 who he owns.
State 31
8&4 23

When reality set in...
Posted by showoff on 6/30/21 at 10:04 pm
is when Kellum Clark hit the 3-run HR in the 7th inning. That was my "Oh shite!" moment. That it was actually going to happen. To win it all.
I've only ever experienced that once in my life back on FEB 7, 2010 in Lucy's Bar in Uptown NOLA while watching Super Bowl 44 when Tracey Porter intercepted Peyton Manning and took it back for the TD. Reality sets in that your team you've been cheering for your entire life FINALLY breaks through and wins it all. I'm a big Saints fan as well making two games a year - one home and one away....so to have a Championship experience with both teams waiting for so long is surreal feeling.
Even though State just went up 6-0 vs Vandy in the Top 7, as a State and Saints fan...you never feel comfortable with any kind of lead.
It's cool to see the other fan bases here giving the Bulldog Baseball fans kudos. Lord knows we feel like we deserve it right now. They finally broke through and won it all in Omaha.
Cheers.
