This really shows how bad this quarterback class is if Richardson is the best QB on the board

NFL-wise? Probably.
But JR was actually good in college. AR was horrible. Probably a good RB though.

Put Richardson on Georgia, LSU, etc and he would have the Cam Newton, Tebow like numbers.
Those guys could actually throw the football with accuracy.

He was total garbage and you'd think these guys would be smart enough to see he's a workout warrior who can't throw an accurate pass.

I'm not going to predict what he'll do as a pro... but I'd like to pile on about how horrible he was at UF.
First off... he had two 300+ yard passing games in his career. In fact, they were both 400+. The problem is that they came against horrible pass defenses in losses.
He went 25 of 42 (59%) for 400 yards with 3 TD and 1 INT in a loss to Vandy.
He went 24 of 44 (55%) for 453 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT in a loss to Tennessee (who did not have a good pass defense despite being a good team).
Those are his highlights.
Here are the rest of the games he managed at least 200 yards passing.
8-10 (80%) for 240 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT against Eastern Washington.
18-37 (49%) for 271 yards with 1 TD and 0 INT against UGA (loss)
17-28 (60%) for 201 yards with 2 TD and 0 INT against A&M.
And that's it. 5 games with 200 plus yards in one season and a couple of games of starting at QB (his top yardage number was 167 last season)
Is he a good rusher? Absolutely. Combine that with a solid passer and he'd be a great prospect. But he's not a solid passer. He's not average at passing the ball. He's below average.
He in fact was dogshit.

Lets see that Wonderlic and Ill tell you where Id draft him.
There is legitimacy in certain occasions why this test is important.
For a guy who was consistently inconsistent, Id put some effort in knowing how smart he is.
If im a betting man he will never read a defense well and that takes intelligence.
I wound not touch this guy with a 10 foot pole.

Not a good comparison. JaMarcus got his money and the proceeded spend it on Big Macs.

He could wind up like JR, but I don't know enough about Richardson's work ethic to make this claim. JR had none, played for a toxic franchise, lost his way after his uncle died, and allowed toxic influences into his inner circle. It was the perfect storm.

What is not being talked about much is how he seemed to be constantly injured- nothing crazy, but just constant little soft tissue things. I would be worried about keeping him healthy.

Florida should never have gambled on a sunbelt coach anyway. No way Billie was ready for primetime. The Sunbelt doesnt hold a candle to the SEC.

I agree he’s not worth the risk, but I see why some teams like him.
I can't see why some teams like him in the top 3. That's insane and whoever drafts him that high shoudl be fired for incompetence. Ask anyone what they like about him and why he should be drafted in the first round, or hell in the top 2/3 rounds. "He's big!". Ok fine, good size. What else? "He's fast!" Ok maybe but I mean anything else? "Big arm!" Ok all of these things are fine but his primary job is to throw the ball to pass catchers how is he at doing that? *crickets...*
Look at matt stafford. He was extremely raw and unpolished as a freshman, in fact he borderline stunk until the last 3 games. You knew he had every physical tool imagineable but it wasn't translating IRL. His soph year he played much better as his completion %, Yards, YPA, and TDs all increased while INT decreased. Then his junior year, yet again, his %, yards, YPA, and TDs increased while INT stayed the same. His on field production began to match his physical tools, so even though he had some shaky film you could see mprovement and an NFL GM could easily say "we can work with this guy and continue to mold him".
Now look at richardson. Physical tools out the wazoo no doubt. But what about the production? He was only the started a handful of games in 2021 and was shaky in them. In the only game he played against an elite defense he was dogshit. Now look at 2022. His completion percentage, YPA, and QBR all declined. In 12 games he threw 17 TDs and 9 INT in a modern era of wide open primarily passing offenses.
Aside form just being big and looking phsyiclaly similar to cam newton, there's nothing that should lead any NFL team to believe he's worth drafting anywhere near the first round. Whoever takes him in the top 10 is going to regret it for YEARS

I bet he scored worse than Jameis Winston. More athletic but maybe dumber. His head is 1/2 second his feet.

He wouldn’t start for Georgia or LSU last season.
He had 2 good games as a passer last season ; Tennessee and Vandy.
Both programs have 2 of the worst pass defenses in the country.

Would’ve never played at those schools. Costs his team to many games.
Agree with this. If Kirby would have seen one major screw up, he'd have benched him. AR15 would have had to transfer. So a moot point.

The comparisons to Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton are what is truly insane.
Jackson had accuracy issues in college but was mostly due to a shite o line and was in a pass happy offense with Petrino. The guy had 1,000 pass attempts in college compared to Richardsons 390. I can’t believe ppl are seriously considering him as a top 10 pick. He was absolutely LOST against good defenses with good schemes. Wtf do you think he will do against NFL defenses?
