He’s also being very disingenuous with that post.
That was the Covid season where we played an all-SEC slate. He didn’t have the benefit of adding three or four easy nonconference wins.
He also took over a program that is stated on that loop. I know they love to shite on Brian Kelly, but that’s just nowhere near comparable

They literally have offseason threads about “processing” BK players and keeping the ones they wanted. Then they gloated all off season about the #1 portal class they brought in. They told us they took Ole Miss best players and coaches and that ole Miss would be nothing without Kiffin.

Lane had it all at ole miss. Fans loved him, paid well, and had a championship caliber team.
He pissed it all away for a place with much higher expectations that will chew him up and spit him out after a couple 3 loss seasons

Um let’s not forget - Orgeron, who was fired by Ole miss, won an NC- so….pretty decent example of the diff in programs.
But - OM won that damn game sat, played better, wanted it more, was more disciplined, more

I remember the last time a team treated a regular season win like an actual championship. Texas 8&4 in the year 2018. The 7OT game.
The following year we put up 50 on them on our way to an undefeated natty with the best team in college football history.
Lane didn’t come to LSU for 2026. He came because over the next 5ish years he knows he can build a championship team. Chambliss is covering up a lot of flaws of this Ole Miss team. Year 1 at LSU isn’t a championship team. But just wait. It’s going to be fun watching you all see what life is like post Trinidad and when Lane has LSU full steam ahead.
