If you go by history, you need to be ranked in the top 10 or top 15 in Defensive FEI to win a NC.

2018 Clemson- #2
2017 Alabama- #2
2016 Clemson- #9
2015 Alabama- #1
2014 Ohio State- #14
2013 Florida State- #1
2012 Alabama- #1
2011 Alabama- #1
2009 Alabama- #1
2008 Florida- #2
2007 LSU- #9

LSU is currently ranked 29th in Defensive FEI. 10 out of the past 12 teams that won the NC were ranked top 10 in defensive FEI and 11 out of the last 12 NC teams were ranked in the top 15. The only team to buck that trend? 2010 Auburn was 36th in Defensive FEI. But even 2010 Auburn had numerous games when they stepped up defensively like shutting down Alabama's offense in the second half of the Iron Bowl which allowed them to have a huge comeback win. Or holding the high-powered Oregon offense to 19 points and 75 rushing yards in the NC game. I have severe questions about LSU's ability to grind out a win if a team like Clemson is able to keep their offense in check.

I was told that LSU could not beat Bama because LSU had lost the previous 8 times.

So, you either have to be top 10 or #36.

Our defense fared well at Tuscaloosa against their prolific offense. We have faced ATM, UF, Auburn, all great defenses and barely blinked.

And, LSU shut down Bama's offense in the first half. So...same?

Y'all sure are LSU obsessed. The fall of the Gumps is a sad thing to witness.

Analytics strongly indicate that BAMA will be in the CFP this year

If you go by history, Bama will be in the Playoffs.

Years of CFP:

2019 ?
2018 Bama in
2017 Bama in
2016 Bama in
2015 Bama in
2014 Bama in

How's that analytics working for you?

Like we did against UF's really good defense or AU's really good defense?

The "metrics" also "indicate" you should try to be Alabama if you want to win the national title, and we all know that shite ain't happening this year.

Just think if we played Atm 12 times in a row. We’d still be 12-0.

Sounds like LSU this year. They step up when it matters.
