I do think most of the board was pulling for SCAR, I was pretty invested in that run

unicorns and raining chocolate drops might help the sec as well but much like an auburn victory against unc, it’s not gonna happen.

Yep, they had the perfect combination of school that nobody in the conference truly HATES, little to no tradition, a really scrappy fun team and a coach everybody really likes.

Seeing mullet A logos openly rooting for Auburn would make your skin crawl. We all know this.

A few years back, we had LSU an UF in the final 4.

Still got no respect for the conference.

We are still seen as UK and those other guys

I'm not pulling for Auburn.

I'm rooting against Droopy Dog.

They're our rival. I want them to lose. What's the point of all this otherwise?

I have no problem with it and I hope Bama hires Prohm.

It's not like football, where conference strength can be super beneficial to a team trying to make the playoffs.

In basketball, a program can schedule OOC games that create their own strength. They don't need the conference as much.

It can however get your conference 3 #1 seeds and your teams much higher rankings if people for some reason think your conference is way better than it actually is.

I feel ya, but no amount of Auburn victories is gonna stifle the media's blind love of the ACC

I think and Auburn win would be the best win for the SEC in a long time.

Any SEC team winning it would be a boost for the conference. And LOL at those saying they want their rival to lose for fear of "program building." Even if an SEC team does win it all, Duke, UNC, , Michigan State and all the other traditinal CBB schools will still nab the majority of prized recruits.

As a Bama fan who goes back to the 60s, I have seldom pulled for AUBURN. But I hope they make it to the final four and then win it all.

Good for Auburn good for the state. And my auburn friends in the church choir will be able to hold their heads up.

Hopefully they aren't depending upon Auburn athletics to hold their heads up. Maybe there is a higher reason to hold one's head up?

Kinda my feelings as well. If it was reversed, it's not like I'd be yelling roll tide, but it'd be an accomplishment to beat the ACC and traditional CBB programs. It's not like LSU, AU, or UT become automatic blue bloods, destined to be the next Duke and UNC, etc.
