An Auburn win would mean a lot to the SEC.

A team like Auburn, who was just a doormat to the SEC a few short years ago, beating UNC would set the basketball world on fire.
If at least 3 of our teams can make it into the Elite 8... man wouldn’t that be something for the conference.
I think and Auburn win would be the best win for the SEC in a long time.

The SEC has moved up in Basketball...teams in the tourney...teams making it to the 2nd weekend, etc...a rising tide floats all boats. The cash from Football has made the difference.

It's not like football, where conference strength can be super beneficial to a team trying to make the playoffs.
In basketball, a program can schedule OOC games that create their own strength. They don't need the conference as much.

I'm all for the conference winning all the regular season games OOC.
But yea, no thanks on my rivals tacking things onto banners or long term program resumes in the tournament.
