What a strange list

Spoilermakers meme is real. Also, Big Ten teams tend to be overrated. Lot of soft underbelly in that conference. Every season it feels like there is a 7-0 or 8-0 Big Ten team in the top 1-3 spots that hasn't played anybody at all.

I was a 2 of the Hogs' 4 wins - the 78 Orange Bowl against Oklahoma and the 81 texas game in Fayetteville.

love that forever the Rant said that if the SEC didn’t have divisions that UGA wouldn’t make the SECC or win it

Well how many times did they make it and not win it?

You can’t honestly argue that they didn’t often have a much easier path to the SECC.

One of those 9 for Miami sting much much worse than the others. 1984 Orange bowl win over Nebraska to jump Auburn for the Natty. I’m still salty as frick over that one

How much will that record, that you had absolutely nothing to do with, buy you at the grocery store?

I'm not sure but I'd guess it would fetch me more than Tennessee's sparkling 2-16 record.

Alabama wins against #1 -

1977 - USC
1978 - Penn. St.
1992 - Miami
2009 - Florida
2011 - LSU
2012 - Notre Dame
2014 - Miss. St.
2015 - Clemson
2017 - Clemson
2021 - Georgia
2022 - Georgia

Until Coach Saban, Bama only had 3 wins against AP #1. So, who's the GOAT?

Coach Bryant (2)
Coach Stallings (1)
Coach Saban (8)

This explains a lot. The OP is spiraling down his new reality, being the “1” in Vandy’s “1-10” record.

Highlighting the fact that Saban got most of these wins, while your new coach is the architect of one of the most embarrassing examples on the list, is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while.

Seeing Alabama fans forced to claw their way back into the past just one year removed from Saban’s departure is just delicious.

The “1” in Vandy’s “1-10”.

I know Ole Miss has a couple of wins over teams that finished number 1 but weren't at the time. There's at least 3 off the top of my head in Notre Dame in '77, Florida in '08 and Bama in '15.

I think Auburn beat GA and ALA in back to back weekends when they both were ranked # 1. 2017 I think or 19

And LSU still couldn’t beat Alabama in Bryant-Denny West.

Losing to Alabama and losing to Vanderbilt are two very different things, Pookie.

Another difference is that, unlike a Bama fan, I don’t claim any personal sense of accomplishment because LSU wins a game, nor do I lose any when they lose a game.

You, on the other hand, clearly lack anything significant enough to be proud of in your own life. So you hitch your wagon to 18 year old kids you’ll never personally know.
