well, that’s certainly a unique take
and by “unique” i mean “no one else on the planet would agree”
Most Bama fans would agree about the Shula era.....

he also beat more teams with 9 or more wins (4) than he lost to teams with losing records (2)
compare that to Freezus at AU who lost to more teams with losing records (3) than he beat teams with winning records (1)
congrats on beating up a cripple

I remember your Ryan Williams thread. That was a fun time.

It's literally a response thread. Turd fans made the same posts about Auburn recruiting. Turd fans love to try and have it both ways. They can never be wrong or in the wrong.

Thank you. Thank you for pointing out that even horrible coaches can have inconsistent success at Alabama while successful coaches from other schools crash and burn at Auburn.
That is quite a compliment for Alabama and one hell of an indictment of Auburn.

one day Bama may actually get the chance to actually beat a decent AU team again - something yall havent done since Bowden was our HC 32 years ago
of course AU would have be decent for that to happen

This made me laugh.
He's not nearly as pseudo intellectual, but then I don't think anyone other than Aggie Hank could be.

Why is Alabama's recruiting so terrible?

My guess, several reasons.
1) It's still early. I just checked and LSU only has something like 11 2027 recruits.
2) Alabama under Deboer isn't the same as under Saban. You have Kirby racking up, Texas is doing work, Kiffin has brought excitement back to LSU, etc.
3) biggest, I think the paradigm has changed. You go after 5 stars who may push to start, and you hit the portal.

Drago will push DeBoer’s shite in.

Payback from the whole “August 1st” shite we heard last year, I’m sure.
If there’s one thing Hugh Freeze could do, it was recruit. He had proven that time and time again and with what John Cohen pulled last year while trying to be the smartest man in the room, Auburn’s class suffered and Alabama fans constantly mocked it.
Just a guess.

What a click bait post from a tranny if there’s ever been one. The average school had 22 recruits. We have 8, with the top player in the entire class and top player from da boot.

We would have won all 12 in 2005 if prothro hadn’t of gotten hurt.

and if he’s unable to rise to the occasion over the next couple of years, you’re only on the hook for $60 million or so
Which is why I (and many other Bama fans) weren't in favor of the extension Byrne gave him. We already didn't have much leverage in the contract he was under. The extension buried us under even more leverage by DeBoer.

would have been difficult for him to make a difference when his QB was in the loving embrace of the entire AU DL

Something is wrong with you. Honestly and sincerely, I hope your life is okay, and that you find purpose and meaning in your life.
Find something meaningful and put your focus and effort into it, and try to make a positive difference in someone’s life.

This. Recruiting philosophies are changing/adapting to the new NIL/Portal world. Bama raked in a top two class for 2026 and from what I'm reading and hearing, the focus for the 2027 is not heavy on the HS recruits. Whether you believe "insiders" or not, apparently, they are going heavier on the portal than the HS recruits for 2027. Several "insiders" that I follow on X have said expect a much, much smaller class to brought in for the 2027 class.
