It was always going to be a small class. But people can’t seem to grasp that. We aren’t signing 28 guys every year now. And then there’s still the portal.
Regardless, Deboer has already signed two top 5 classes and held a third one together after Saban retired. He can clearly recruit. So what is the point of this thread?

If bama ends up 67th I agree with you we have a problem. But you know we won’t.

If there’s one thing Hugh Freeze could do, it was recruit. He had proven that time and time again and with what John Cohen pulled last year while trying to be the smartest man in the room, Auburn’s class suffered and Alabama fans constantly mocked it.

Hey Corky, duh Corch of Aaaluh-Bamuh is purposely not taking a lot of kids in this recruiting class because they are focusing on the portal. Hence, Alabama only having 8 commits at June 15th. The guy has publicly said this so fix the tin foil on the rabbit ears in your trailer so you can get the right channels for the most accurate information.

Fully agree. This is what a lot of Bama fans want to see, if he can actually build and sustain a program on his own. Rather than coming into a program that already had above average talent and winning with another coach's players.

and if he’s unable to rise to the occasion over the next couple of years, you’re only on the hook for $60 million or so
which, before you ask, is more than the combined buyouts of every HC in AU history

He took Rome Odunze, who was ranked way outside the top 100 overall and was the 46th ranked wr prospect coming out of high school, and turned him into an All-American and #9 overall pick in the NFL draft.
