Penn State and Iowa play this Saturday. Penn still has to play Michigan and Ohio St. Oklahoma probably loses to Texas or Okie St. PAC-12 and ACC out.
If BAMA and UGA win out, SEC Championship is more for playoff seeding. Two SEC teams make it

The committee almost put Georgia in two years ago after getting blown out by LSU in the SEC championship because they knew they were still better than Oklahoma.
As it stands:
1. SEC Champion
2. SEC runner up
3. Big 10 Champion
4. Big12/Cincinnati

I could see only one of them getting in, Ala or UGA. It seems as though the rest of college football has gotten a hard on for the SEC because of Tex/Ok leaving the big 12.
Cincinnati gets a lot of mileage for beating the Domers, even though the Domers have struggled this year and probably should have at least one more loss at this time. Cin will be a media darling if they run the table from here. If there is a one loss big ten team they are in, regardless.
I agree with a previous poster. Ala is more likely to get in with one loss than is Georgia.

UGA is due. They’ve waited long enough,

The committee literally did that for bama in 2017. What elite team has bama played this year?

They're not going to have the seccg teams play twice in a row. Never gonna happen.

If both are 12-0 going into Atlanta (and they should be) then both are in.

And the "They Ain't Played Nobody, Pawl" award of the week goes to Georgia fans.
Y'all have been beating this drum for almost 24 hours now
It was Trussville Tide who started the whole "they don't play anyone" conversation, not a Georgia fan.

If they both enter the CCG undefeated it is very unlikely they don’t get in. As theorized already the loser would be seeded 2 or 3 as to not have the rematch in the semifinals.
The ACC is out completely in my opinion.
The PAC is on life support and probably out.
B1G champ is in - I’m not sure undefeated versus 1 loss makes much of a difference here. 2 or 3 seed either way, unless an undefeated OU is a 2 or 3 and B1G seeds 4th with a loss.
Cincy will not get in over a one loss UA/UGA nor a 1 loss B1G in my opinion. To me the most practical question is what happens if it’s a 1 loss Big 12 against undefeated Cincy for the last spot? 1 loss OU or 1 loss Texas for instance. To me anyone who thinks this is an easy decision for the CFP either way is kidding themselves. It might could even come down to more of an eye test where performance week over week is really amplified. It would really go far to show how much prestige, brand recognition or money plays into it - especially if it’s Texas or OU in that position.

If they're both 12-0 going into the SECCG then I would be shocked if there were enough other teams in contention to keep either one out.

This year so far has been crazy. Penn St, Michigan and Ohio State still have to play each other. And I could see Ohio State winning out the rest of their schedule. If Iowa beats Penn State, then they need to win out too and then say face Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship. ACC is out unless Wake Forest goes undefeated! Which we all would be shocked about. Pac 12 is about done and Oregon can't lose another game to get in. I can see Texas and or Oklahoma State beating Oklahoma. Alabama and Georgia could be undefeated going into the championship game. If game is close, I could see both getting in. I could see an undefeated Cincy getting in if the Big 12 & Pac 12 have a one or 2 loss champion. My 4 I see is 1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State (until someone in the Big Ten unseats them as champs it them.)
4. Cincinnati

quote:not really. its more impressive to hold ole miss to 21 (scoreless until late 3rd quarter and garbage time) than to shut out arkansas. arkansas was fools gold, winning over texas and what is looking like a bad a&m team looked more impressive at the time than it is. we get to find out next week which is the better team, so that will be an interesting game
Ole Miss is the best win by far and Georgia’s win over Arky was more impressive

I think if 1-2 they both get in. Who else you taking Michigan, Penn State, Iowa, OSU? Big 12 only gets in with undefeated team.
ACC?
Pac-12?
Cinn, or BYU gets in if undefeated and all others have a loss.

Here is a fun scenario (although very wishful) to think about:
UGA beats Auburn next week, Auburn gets better and somehow beats Bama and then UGA in championship.
Who gets in: 2 loss Auburn, 1 loss UGA, 1 loss Bama

UGA's problem is the same one they have had in most years they had a good shot at the title. They don't have elite QB play. Bama does and has a lot of time to get better on D.
These dumbasses think all of sudden JT is going to come back fully healthy and their receivers will be in rhythm. You build chemistry, continuity, and offensive balance throughout the season.
I need to apologize no way UGA will be vulnerable this year, they are going to run the ball 50 times a game and never be behind or threatened.

The SEC will do everything they can to protect them both. They'll be undefeated when they meet in Atlanta.

BYU is not a Bowl city favorite. Their fans arrive with a $10 bill and the 10 Commandments, and they break neither one.

Unless more undefeated teams lose, an undefeated Big Ten team is in, so is the Big Twelve team, and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
