Recruiting, running the ball, and defense is the only thing that works in the SEC. Kentucky will beat the shite out of Miss. State this year. Missouri went to the pass and they got shut down by Kentuckys big secondary.

Theres no easy way. You have to beat the shite out of the other team and make them quit.

Ok. Where to begin. Well it’s safe to assume u are a KY fan because u used KY and football in the same sentence so I’ll answer with this.

No one can take you seriously because you are a KY fan and are referencing football....that does not compute.

That’s right

It’s all about running yeah

1953 - 1957 that was true

600 yards + Total passing in my career!

Schemes are overrated
Talent usually wins out
The key is putting that talent in the best position to succeed
LSU won a lot of games with sheer talent

State gets sneaky good sometimes in March though, you may see them in the sweet 16 if you’re in the same region.

You miss a year?

Here’s the thing about Air Raid Systems: they were great with 3 stars they work even better with 5 stars.

It’s like Money Ball. You know what works better than Money Ball? Using the system with money.

I can’t wait for Leach to do his work. He will be able to finally get qbs out of Texas and the skill talent is ridiculous within a 300 mile radius. He won’t have to run a gimmicky defense at State. He actually hires great staff and on defense. Oregon has poached 3 of his position coaches.

Air raid systems typically dont work because they only bring like 20-30 plays to a game and most college qbs cant read a defense.

To play devil’s advocate, LSU ran the ball very well in the second half of the season, which played a big part in wins over Auburn, UF, and Bama.

LSU wasn't running an Air Raid system.

They averaged 37 passes to 34 runs per game.

Wasington State still threw the ball over 100 more times than LSU in 2019 despite playing two less games.

It doesn't really shock me but its very sad anyone would think what LSU ran last year was an air raid

Didn't this past year include two of the most prolific passing attacks in SEC history, including one that was absurdly good and broke a dozen or so records?

I would wager that if Tua stays healthy, Alabama likely beats Auburn and either gets the 4th seed or plays in one of the other Big 6 bowls, probably finishing top 5 at the end of the season. LSU wins the natty with a prolific passing attack, Alabama finishes in the top 5 with one as well. Those would appear to be direct counters to your argument.

None of this is the same as an Air Raid system.
