It no different than when Nick Saban taped the score of their 2012 loss to us on lockers for the 2013 season and had them circle that game to get revenge. Almost didn’t work, as Johnny showed out that game, and just about gave ol Nicky a coronary.....
Anyways, it’s the same type of motivation. Jimbo ain’t happy with the loss and will have the team circling that game next year. So if that’s “obsessed” or “super bowl” or whatever, so be it. LSU better be ready next year, we’ll be out for revenge.

That's because psychologically, last year, it's what they hung their hat on. And, the parroted the idea that the program was moving up because of that single win for the entire offseason. And, even this year as it became apparent that their season was going down the toilet, they still had this game on the schedule that would have saved them psychologically.
Most people here give the A&M fanbase way too much credit thinking that they expect to compete at the highest level. They don't. They just need something to hang their hat on. And, they are VERY willing to be the little brother as long as it's not to Texas.
