I guess I will say it, good game. Y'all look like a real contender this year.

Good game. It’s easy to crap on Pierce, and that comes with expectations.
But that poor OF play tonight has to be on the players.

Pierce has to go since last season. Del Conte needs to make something happen. The SEC will kick our arse. We be lucky if we win 2 series next year.

Agreed, he's just not the guy. There is no excuse to have massive holes in your roster like this every year. I don't give a shite about appearances in Omaha if we have no chance to win the whole thing.

Pierce will never win the big one. He'll make it to Omaha every now and again, but going every other year probably isn't happening for him again like it already did.
But who knows, maybe they can turn it around. 11 games into a 55 game season ig

Almost everyone in the SEC is superior in baseball. It will probably be a SEC teams that wins it again.

I was a senior in 1989.
The most dominant team I can ever recall from any school. We were 58-5 going into the championship game of our regional.
Then LSU, and that bastard Ben McDonald.
Finish 58-7.
As far as I know, the only team to finish #2 in the rankings without even going to Omaha.
BAS is a thing, and I've seen it.

It seemed like a great night for baseball at DFF
Glad to be playing y'all in conference next year. A&M needed to get away and learn about itself, mainly that cocaine and oil money are fun but no way to build a lasting program

Agreed. The Texas players need shoulder the blame for this big loss. As in the movie Bull Durham..”you hit the ball, you catch the ball, you throw the ball.” The Texas players failed to do that, especially in light of the Aggie bat production.

It was tight until the outfield error opened the flood gates.
Curious about your honest assessment. Is it coaching or talent or a combination of both? About the only thing my son commented on watching the game is that A&M looked more physical than Texas. He plays hs baseball now and is very observant that way. It was the first thing he said when he saw the two teams.
Schloss has recruited lights out since getting to A&M, so there will only be a handful or two of teams that have our depth and nearly all of them will be in the SEC.
