11.18.1999 was one of the most heartbreaking events any college has experienced. A beloved tradition turned into a tragedy when the A&M bonfire collapsed and 12 A&M students and former graduates lost their lives. There's no fanbase as close to each other IMO, as y'all are, and I can't imagine something like that happening on our campus, and the impact it would have on each of us. I know there's nothing I can say or do to make up for the loss some of y'all experienced on that day, but hopefully it helps y'all just a little bit to know that you have people out there thinking of y'all and praying for those affected. Here's to the fighting Texas Aggies today

"There's a spirit that can ne'er be told"

A terrible tragedy for the loved ones of those lost and the A&M nation as a whole.

It was awful and surreal, but the student body, admin, staff on campus, alumni, and the local community really came together and became unified in the face of tragedy.

That football game was cathartic.

I was on campus that night, that's not something I'll ever forget.

Was a sad day, but their community rallied to become stronger.

I used to go to that bonfire with my family when I was pretty young. Nice job. And what kind of a-hole down votes a thread like this?
