Aggies, is this acceptable behavior from "12th Man"?

During the 3rd quarter a random TAMU student decided to inhabit the empty seat in front of me in the LSU section (130).
She wouldn't sit down & I politely asked her the 1st time to please sit down...
"I'm a member of the 12th Man & I'm not going to sit."
I said that I'm a Texan & I know all of your traditions and you only stand in the student section, so go stand there.
She wouldn't sit, so we all started to make her life miserable to the point that she finally told me to F off and left...
Is this acceptable by real Aggies? All of my Aggies friends told me that she was wrong. Was i right to complain?
Also, congratson the win... y'all took us behind the woodshed last night.

The 12th Man is the student section.
Although her enthusiasm was admirable, it was misplaced. She was wrong, and you shouldn’t have had to deal with it.

Are you elderly or disabled? If not, it’s slightly rude behavior from her but also a slightly unreasonable request from you, but also still very annoying for her to block your view.
If you are elderly or you have a handicap that forces you to be seated all the time, then I would say she’s definitely in the wrong.

It's a football game. Some people stand.
If you're handicapped or otherwise unable to stand, you should be able to explain your situation politely and be able to expect the person to make reasonable accommodation for you out of common courtesy.
Otherwise, stand your own lazy arse up if you want to see.

Been to LSU games. Yes, some of them are horrible. Visitors can sit among Ags at Kyle Field and not be harassed. Visitors in Tiger stadium... harassed by older fricks.

For her to claim to be a member of the 12th man as her reason to remain standing for the entirity of the game is misinformed. As you pointed out, she is not in the student section.

You are correct about the student section being the 12th Man.
And I’m sorry you were stuck behind such a discourteous fan.
Some people are “special” and thoughtless—the rules of respectability apply to everyone else and not to them.

Yep. Students stand the whole time, not the entire stadium. You should not have had to deal with that situation.
