Yeah, but I'll take 3 walks over 6 or more any day. We can work our way out 3 walks spread out.
Today is a great example... Im at Trinity Univ in San Antonio watching my last HS player in college for Rhodes. They got 5 runs in the 1st on 7 hits. Trinity then got 7 runs in the 1st on one hit (double) after 5 walks and 3 HBP... those walks bunched together make it real easy to have a huge innings.
Thank goodness Rhodes came back and won 10-9, then lost game 2 13-0. Good Division 3 softball lol

If she doesn't get better, I believe I would have a difficult time putting her in the game. But that's not my call and I leave it to the coaches to make it.

If I was able to be near a TV, I sometimes do a play by play, so those days there is a lot more discussion. I think many are focused on the women's basketball game coming up soon

I'm in San Antonio watching HS softball in my role as director of the Texas Prep Softball Coaches Association... plus my last HS player playing in college plays for Rhodes College at Trinity University here in SA tomorrow. I'm sure I'm enjoying this trip much more.

I complained at first because that new board member isn't an alumnus of LSU, but if he brings in a substantial amount of new money, then I definitely can overlook that.

And I have a relative who transferred from him because of his trash and won a natty and WCWS MVP the next year... he's the one who melted down and publicly trashed her, not me, but I would have a nuclear meltdown even worse than I do for deangelo if we hired Kenny.... maybe I wouldn't melt because I dont have the fire for LSU softball like I used to and that has nothing to do with the current staff and players.

If you want to get rid of Beth Torina, you better take a look at the volleyball coach... hasn't been to the NCAA tournament during her time here... softball still makes the NCAA tournament every year. Maybe fire Deangelo first.

Nice to have an easy win...
Lots of talk on X about what went on at South Carolina over the weekend. Something about the SC coaches talking a lot of trash, but the main talk was Heavener waving at a SC batter after a strike out. Coach Neal got ejected on Sunday for supposedly arguing balls and strikes, but looked like he wanted to go after the DC coaches and I'm glad he was fighting for our players.
I'm not the biggest fan of the waving at the batter, but I understand the situation and why. I always just wanted to beat their asses more with a little chin music every once in awhile to make them aware that we arent happy. But I'm still a little old school lol
