There is someone who downvotes every post in softball threads. The rant is loaded with mentally ill people I wouldn’t bother trying to solve the crime.
The grinding of teeth over someone downvoting comments is hilarious. Why care about downvotes? Probably someone is doing that just to see the reaction and is laughing at all of us.

Ha ha, that's why I asked the question. My rant scorecard changes daily and I can't keep up. I only come here for the entertainment

quote:if you knew the quality of coaches who applied and interviewed, you might take that comment back... the change happened late, so not much could be done at the time.
Not hiring a 3rd assistant has been catastrophic for Torina

I believe I've said this before, but when Griner was a senior in HS (Aldine Nimitz), her team was in our holiday girls basketball tournament in Bryan/College Station. I would run the scoreboard for many of the games at A&M Consolidated and they were playing at our gym on the 2nd day.
I saw Griner, dressed in uniform, walk into our gym with the father and both went to sit in the bleachers across from me. The rest of the team had not arrived yet.
About 15 minutes later, the team dressed in street clothes, walked into the gym and went straight to to the locker room to change. Griner didn't leave her seat.
Right before the current game was finished, Griner went into the hallway where the team was waiting for the current game to finish.
After the game, Griner and her father, left the gym still dressed in uniform, while the team went back to the dressing room to change back into street clothes. I went to the door out of curiosity and saw them get in a personal vehicle while the rest of the team got on a school bus.
The next day, the championship was at Bryan HS, and I went over to watch since our girls were playing them in that game. When I arrived at the parking lot, I saw them getting out of their personal vehicle and the same thing happened as the day before.
It always struck me as really weird to see that because 100% of my experiences as an athlete and coach in public schools had everyone riding the bus to and from the games.

re: Why is the baseball team taking the bus to College Station?

When softball did the Texas two step a couple of weeks ago, they flew to College Station, but the LSU painted Hotard bus was waiting for them and took them around at A&M. Then they bus took them to San Marcos where they stayed between series and all around Austin.
After game 3 at Texas-Austin, a 2nd Hotard bus was in the parking lot after the game, so it looks like they rode on 2 buses home
My guess that if baseball does bus to College Station, they will ride on 2 buses.

WARNING
I10 will be closed in both directions a mile south of the I10/US69 north interchange from Friday night to Monday morning.
This will be a huge clusterfark getting through. If you can exit north on US69, you can go to SH105 & go west all the way to Navasota, then take SH6 north to BCS.
Or exit at SH62/73 (Bridge City) and turn left. Go 5 miles and turn right at SH87/73. Take SH73 all the way to I10 in Winnie. Drawback is the construction at the Rainbow Bridge... wouldn't advise driving an RV through there right now.

Being on the west coast, I figured British Columbia would be ultra liberal just like California, Oregon, and Seattle. I'm surprised that the split is almost even.

I'm 62. No I didnt have to take Texas history because I graduated from LSU and after 8 years of teaching there, all I had to do was take the Texas teacher tests since I was certified already in Louisiana.
I did take Texas history in junior high.

I agree with this, especially the part that the players play hard, sometimes .maybe too hard which may cause mistakes that they normally don't make. I've had teams do that during my career and it was a lot of work by the coaches to get that confidence and swagger back. Confidence is such a huge factor and momentum as well.
I liked a lot of things that I saw at the games I got to go see on our Texas Two Step, but I felt (and probably the players/coaches too) that when are we going to make a mistake. I drove over on Sunday and I saw a team that looked very hungry after that curb stomping on Saturday. Sometimes a dose of reality can jump start a team to play a little looser, with a nothing to lose attitude.
We are going to be in the NCAA tournament and I was always of the mindset that I didn't care if I have to go on the road in the playoffs. (I always enjoyed ending a team's season on their home field.) So we don't have anything to lose, so why not play that way and I saw that Sunday and especially last night...
Now we need to take that momentum to Fayetteville this weekend and it will all be better.
