They had a good season.
We had a bad season.

Was the Texas A&M HC been the HC for more than 2 years there?

Most of tRant aggy posters give genital warts to sheep.
Hard to win under those circumstances at least in men's sports that is.

We all got fooled. I thought they would win the first round of the playoffs.
In retrospect, they seem to be another 8-4 aggie team that lucked into a gift schedule. They played 3 teams that finished the season ranked. They lost to 2 and beat one in the final seconds.
I've seen enough late game turnovers in games that really matter from Marcel Reed to know that they won't win **** with him starting at qb.

To be honest the game with your horns shattered the offenses confidence
There are other factors but losing a game they should have won broke them

Now why would anybody actually "hate" the Aggies?
It would be like hating the Three Stooges.

Only slightly better than Arkansas. Schedule matters. A lot.

I'll admit to being a little worried and bought in that they were the real deal and a complete team when they came back from 3-27 or whatever it was and go to 11-0.
Worried because, I'd seen our national championship winning team overcome a near upset and come back from deep deficits (e.g. oklahoma state and kansas) and know that it can happen to the best teams and that sometimes those comebacks build character and confidence to go win it all.
Also worried because once you get into the playoffs at this level (non-G5) and with the talent aggie amassed, it can be an "any given saturday" situation and they could catch fire and win it all. They had a chip and a chair.
Mostly worried because their long-running national nightmare of being dunce aggies and doing slapstick aggie things (like going 11-0 and then blowing the next 2 games to blow the season up) was looking at risk. It would have been a tragedy to lose that comic genius and I know nothing lasts forever.
Knowing that my Longhorns are a big reason the aggies lost is funny to me. We didn't blow up their car but we punctured the tire that later blew out turning the last corner that kept them from finishing the race.
Not only did we keep them from the SECCG but we screwed up their ranking that they had to play the one team without a bye with a pulse who could beat them (outside of Bama).
And the cherry on top is that Aggies were the most vocal about trolling Longhorns about Arch's early season struggles while pretending they had a Heisman at QB for 3/4 of the season. Turns out that they win a CFP game with Arch at QB and lost because their QB wasn't good enough.

Nice regular season
Suspicions arose when South Carolina had them and wiggled off the hook
Instead of folding in November they delayed until December
Was not surprised by this
Too much hate on Reed...lost to the U in the trenches

The 2025 version was a little less roller coaster - a little more free fall ride.

I felt sick know the nonstop bragging was never going to end.
quote:
Did you know what was coming
Yes, and I said so.
quote:
Was the 11-0 run to no. 3 in the nation the best set up and rug pull ever?
Best I've ever seen, yes
quote:
Are you surprised at their end of the season collapse
No, and I said so before it happened, many times?
quote:
Did you expect them to make a deep playoff run?
No, certainly not, and I said so many times, in many ways. I coined the phrase, ONE AND DONE, and probably others I can't remember.
The better question would be why do you hate aggies?

I knew they were frauds when Florida was toe to toe with them.
Yikes.
Yikes.

I really thought they would beat Miami and lose the next game. The defense has been so good this year, but the offense has been good to horrible.

Outside of this board, TAMu fans are pretty cool in real life. I didn't mind their success this year.

Tbh with you, I did not want to see the Ags win a natty because we’d never hear the end of it. But for the sake of friends and family, I did want to see them beat Miami in CS.
