Again LSU has to wait a few weeks to see if beating Clemson means anything.

That's what sucks about playing ACC teams to start the year.
At least Clemson had the common courtesy to shite the bed against Syracuse last year, to clear things up for everyone.

They are not a good team but their schedule is dog shite, Miami is their only remaining ranked team as of right now.
They’ll prolly finish 8-4 or 9-3 cause of that arse schedule, they’d prolly go 3-9 or 4-8 in the SEC this year

Beating a P4 team by 41 points is pretty notable, regardless of how bad they may be.
Some conference teams barely managed that vs actual cupcakes.
That doesn't mean LSU is some world beater or something, obviously Clemson is probably a bad team. But its still a great showing, especially in game 1 with a lot of new faces and for supposedly being "distracted".

Youre not wrong. In 2024 Tennessee beat a ranked NC State 51-10. We had a decent year but it felt like at the time we were gonna win it all. Hard to take too much from those games
Tennessee also beat Syracuse in the opener last year 45-26 and then went 8-5

Why is Miami all the sudden a title contender after winning by 39 against Stanford but LSU’s 41 point win over Clemson means nothing?

Last year they were celebrating the Clemson win then it turned out both teams were simply arse....
This year Clemson is busted arse and LSU is pretty good
