Maybe he WILL lead the SEC in rushing this year, but that doesn't make him the best RB in the SEC. That's my point. I don't know what John L. Smith plans to do with your offense, but if it's more balanced than it has been, defenses will play it accordingly.

We had a run/pass ratio of 48/52 in 2010. We were about as balanced as you can get. People think all we do is pass all the time but Petrino liked to pound the ball a lot almost to a fault at times.

And you were 9th or 10th in rushing in the SEC, just like you were every year under Petrino. I don't care how many times you ran it, teams defended Arkansas for the pass.

Plus, every game Petrino coached in the defense was being coached by Willy, and he had to work with basically a defense that was a huge liability. Over the course of the offseason our defense has made huge strides under Haynes and Johnson, plus we have the deepest defensive line we've probably ever had. Not to mention we'll have two great corners (Winston has already shown improvement due to Haynes and he has 5 star ability, Willy just drove him into the ground) and Tevin is a 4 star who plays like a 5 star. Our safety position is a bit of a liability but Lowe and and Gaines have really stepped it up and Rasner gives us some great size back there. And with Tank, Alonzo, and Otha I feel great about our linebackers. Not to mention on offense we return all of our starting offensive linemen, return a 5th year senior quarterback who will go in the first round of the draft, and get Knile Davis back, not to mention DJ and Wingo

Two or three of these all world defenders will get hurt in your first two games and not be able to play or be 100% against Bama. Arkansas will lose by double digits and fans will blame it on these players being out. This is how it has gone for the last few years. I totally expect it to happen again.

Our defense only gave up 17 to bama last year with richardson. If they can do that again this year it will be a good game

You ran effectively last year but nothing near as impressive as LSU and aTm. Your defense and special teams is what stood out in last years game.

You can argue O-lines, last years games, and the last 4 years all you want but it doesn't change the fact that Arkansas has a better stable of RB's than Alabama.

You're entitled to your opinion, but calling it fact, is a bit of a stretch.

So is saying Bama's stable of freshmen and sophomores is better than Arky's stable of juniors and seniors.

That was never MY arguement to begin with. I stated that Arkansas has not stopped Alabama from running and highly doubt they will all of a sudden develop such a strong defense to stop them this year with Alabama having such a great online returning.

Did you even watch the 2010 game? Bama's offense didn't even exist until the 4th quarter. That was a Willy Robinson defense against Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson...

Bama: LB & Safety

Arkansas: Everything else

Mix in a 7-10 spread in Bama's favor and I'll get enough money to take a vacation and go to the NC.

Not sure if I would go by that measuring stick if I were you. If you do want to use that as your measuring stick then please post what they have for overall Offense this year.

Tell you what I will just leave this here. It's actually pretty interesting, espcially #2.

So Alabama got 225 yards rushing all in one quarter. ok I got it.

no...but they got 68 in one play from Richardson that led to no points at the end of the half. You throw in the other 60 yarder from Ingram and you got 100 yards on 41 carries

You still got the yards, but two plays one ending in ya'lls first TD

Ok so thats how you do it. A team that runs for 250 yards didn't really run for 250 yards. They got 150 of those yards on three plays so lets just cut those out.

Was it not Arkansas defense on the field when those two plays occured. I ganruntee you if Knile Davis played last year and ran for 170 yards but 92 of those yards came on one play then you would not be using that arguement.

I'm failing to see how having Cobi Hamilton is more valuable than alabama's plethora of 4 stars

As opposed to Arkansas' plethora of 4 stars at receiver?

Riiiiigghhhtttt.... You can have all 10 of those 4 star receivers on the field at once. Should make things easy for our defensive line and linebackers. Go for it.

Nope. But they got 1 TD in three quarters. Doesn't matter how many yards you get if you can't score.

Ok learn to follow the debate. The debate is regarding can Arkansas stop Alabama from rushing the football. We are not discussing if Arkansas can stop Alabama from scoring TD's. Alabama only had two touchdowns last season playing Vandy at home. I guess that means Vandy defense will be awesome this year.

There are alot of factors that contribute to a team not scoring a TD vs a field goal. There's only two factors that contribute to a team rushing for 225 yards on a defense. The offense can run the ball well and the defense cannot stop it.

Now I know why Alabama has destroyed Arkansas for the last 5 years. Arkansas fans think the game is over after three quarters.

Don't I wish 2010 was 3 quarters...then you wouldn't have destroyed us by 4 points
