Georgia wide receiver AD Mitchell plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per Jake Rowe of DawgsHQ.
AD Mitchell is a former four-star recruit out of Cane Ridge (TN) as a member of the Class of 2021, per the On3 Consensus. Mitchell was the No. 301 recruit in the nation, the No. 45 wide receiver and the No. 8 recruit out of Tennessee.
During his two seasons at Georgia, Mitchell caught 38 passes for 560 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. Of course, Mitchell will always live on in Georgia history — catching to go-ahead touchdown pass in the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Alabama.

If Kiffin lands him then we are going to be loaded at QB and receiver next year.

Seems like all indications point to Texas, I hope this doesn't have to do with Worthy.

Shouldn’t be surprising. UGA has had to sacrifice a WR to the football gods in the off-season prior to every championship. George Pickens ACL in 21, Burton in 22, and now Mitchell.

Congrats I guess. But what happens if you get AD, Worthy stays, and you still top out at 8-4?

The problem at Texas hasn’t been at RB, WR , or QB.. you can’t block or tackle.
Maybe try recruiting some who do that.. just saying

AD will always live on in the UGA history books making two great almost identical catches in two championship games. There’s speculation this is to be closer to his kid which if true I can understand. There’s also speculation he agreed to an NIL deal with UGA then shopped the price to Texas and USC. If that’s the case don’t let the door hit you in the arse on the way out. UGA is stacked across the board and he didn’t even play most of this last season when we were undefeated with a harder schedule than we have in 2023.

Fun fact: Sark has never won 10 games at any of the three schools dumb enough to employ him as a head coach.

This has been rumored for a while. This why we went out and got Thomas and Lovett

I agree. This has been rumored to be in the works off and on for months and sounds like it may be tied to family obligations back in Texas. UGA planned ahead for this and I hope it works out well for all parties involved at this point.

That line of thinking really worked out well for A&M and they have a better coach.
