Crap, they don't show up for home games!

DFW in January isn’t exactly a tourist destination.
And not that most here would have any reason to know or care but they’ve been predicting torrential rainfall for the day leading up to the game as well as the morning of the game/parade.
Paying $1k for a flight to socal to get rained on for a quarterfinals game is a tough sell for most fans.

that obvious targeting was called, Cotton Bowl tickets would be highest on the list.
You scored 3 points buddy, it was not missed targeting

I bet Ole Miss has a 60-40 crowd advantage. Geography and the uniqueness of this stage for Ole Miss is going to make them travel the short distance down down for this one. Georgia has been here too many times lately.

Starting ticket prices for Texas-Michigan in the freaking Cheez-it Bowl are $95, and $148 in the lower bowl/field level section.
For an exhibition game with half the players that were on the roster a month ago gone.

Hoosier fans probably feel like this might be their one chance to ever see their team in the Rose Bowl.
The Rose Bowl has always been a storied B1G venue.

Do you even live in Dallas
It basically smack dab between Dallas and Fort Worth on a major interstate. Next to Six Flags and Rangers stadium. It is not in the middle of nowhere.
You are just a lazy as shite fan.

Have you ever tried to get an uber after a Cowboys game? I went to Packers/Cowboys and spent $200 on an uber to get out of there an hour after the game.
Have you ever tried to get an uber on NYE?
I'm not literally saying the stadium is in the middle of nowhere but it's nowhere as compared to Dallas and it's easy to get ubers.

Yep that's me. The guy who went to the OSU/UT cotton bowl for 4X the price as this game. The one who has flown to multiple national title games

Jerry world is accessible to anywhere via car, but has virtually nothing to do in walking proximity to the actual venue.
You’d either tailgate in freezing temps (good luck if you flew) or eat/drink elsewhere and drive/uber in on NYE (good luck).
It’s an elite venue with virtually nothing else to speak for it other than cheap airfare into DFW.

Don't love this. We go to the Sugar Bowl every year. Last year (before the attack) we bought a pair for $80.

This is true. Its also might near impossible to get around inside the stadium....entire areas you have to go up or down a level to get to from the section adjacent to it...it'd be a nightmare to try to navigate intoxicated. Its generally pretty nice though.
MB is not nearly as good a football venue as the Georgia Dome was....it was the best pure football stadium I have ever been in. MB is nice but the halo at the roof is distracting as hell with its constant flashing and pulling your eyes away from the field. There is also a terrible problem with sunlight late in the year pouring into the stands on one side....night games are better than evening games when the sun is setting. Its also generally pretty nice though.

We paid a little over $1200 a piece for 4 Rose Bowl tickets in 2017. I wouldn't sit in that trash pile for 4 hours knowing ahead of time that UGA was going to win a natty if the Rose Bowl paid me $1200 to do so. By far the worst stadium I have ever been in and as a UGA fan I have spent an inordinate amount of time in Bobby Dodd Stadium. It is a palace compared to the Rose Bowl.

Have you ever tried getting an Uber after any football game? When you have 100k people at an event and traffic everywhere, yeah you're going to have to pay a lot for an Uber. An uber on a normal friday night during surge pricing in a decent sized city can run you over $100
How much Ubers cost isn't a good indication of whether a stadium is in the middle of nowhere.

Yep, they certainly do, while UGA fans prefer their hollers and a spiritually dead shithole like Atlanta that offers zero culture. That place is a cultural wasteland of nothingness.
Ole Miss and New Orleans offers Faulkner, UGA offers Deliverance or College Park.

Getting in and out of the Rose Bowl stadium area sucks. Your hotel is not gonna be a close either

It was indeed. California, not Pasadena Texas, which probably has a better high school stadium than the Rose Bowl. Elberton Georgia does....
I have also been to the Coliseum in Rome. Its about 2000 years old and would be a better football venue than the Rose Bowl....

Jerruh World is like an overwrought giant tomb where you can't see half the fans on TV. This round of CFB playoff games should be played in CFB venues, not in domes with artificial turf.

Jerry World is an Uber driver's wet dream. At least 15 miles from anything other than Jerry World.

Admittedly beating the dead horse but say UGA and Ohio State win (probably jinxed it) and the game would be played in Columbus or Athens vs Phoenix. That shouldn’t even be a serious debate.
Also the #2 and 3 seeds might actually mean something beside jersey color.
