I was an Elko fan until yesterday. His press conference yesterday where he basically stated he is sticking with Marcel Reed just blew me away.

Could not have been much happier with him until when Klein left. Not at all a comment on Klein, good or bad. Just the timing.
Since then, it’s been half-arse preparedness, stubborn personnel non-decisions, and empty coachspeak.
At some point, coaches need to call out their poor performers. Otherwise, it just looks like you’re in denial or flat out stupid.

Lincoln Riley left ou when they were good to go to USC because he didn’t want to coach in the SEC. And people think a&m has a shot at getting him when BV is on the hot seat?

This season is a head scratcher outside looking in.
TAMU has all the resources required. They ascended last year and got to the playoff.
Then they go and do some lazy in house OC/DC hires and let the whole thing go sideways.
This should be the year they get to the Semis or Natty, not 7-5.

Their schedule was arse last year, they lost a bunch of talent to the NFL, and didn't replace accordingly. The year prior they navigated the portal impressively.
And if Lincoln Riley ever left Southern California for College Station, he's either got gambling/drug/women problems, possibly all three.

Elko is an alright coach. Their problem is Marcel Reed has not progressed like they thought he would. College is like the NFL now: it's a quarterback league.

The difference between LSU and Aggie is LSU gave BK a bad contract. Aggie would've given him a bad contract and then doubled down it.
For some reason, A&M desperately extends coaches any time they have an iota of success, or if their coach is even linked to another job.

Nah, Elko isn't getting fired. This season won't be what he is expecting. I also don't think Elko is Kelly part 2. I think Elko will make serious changes after this season. IMO, he's the best coach Aggy has had in a long time.
