I still believe we can go 10-2.. so this is not a doomer post. Kiffin is great and will improve the team.
But in the case we do go 9-3, tons of people will ask if there’s scenarios where we are in.
Well it seems the committee is slightly giving credence to that with the new 9 game SEC schedule.

I understand that theory.
Although, I would bet dollars to donuts, almost every team will be stacking the box against us going forward.
A quick 3&out on the first drive could kill your morale in a big game.
I rather run quick slants, bubble screens, and other flat routes early to get him in rhythm and try to beat selling out stopping Leavitt and Jones.

The OM people are saying this is making excuses and being a sore loser… but this is legitimately not allowed.
If we could have TS full throat + the PA system blaring music or generic noise teams would have 500 false starts.
It’s a legit unfair advantage.

Texas has a really tough road.
You may not be singing their praises by end of year either.
OM could easily lose to both UGA, and UT too and they have a monster game at FLA.

Typically I would rather see the teams we play come in with more losses to open up the league.
But the old style of thinking, hoping for your schedule to win out so that your SOS is higher is still easy to fall back into.
I really can see a scenario where multiple SEC teams are 9-3 this year vs 10-2 in years past.
This 9 game schedule is brutal guys.

Kentucky and MSU are not easy wins, but they are still very winnable.
Not like those squads are UT or Bama level talents.
They have put together some impressive offensive numbers, but with good plans we can beat those teams by 7-10 points.
Nothing in the SEC is a given. This has been the norm for decades.
