Glad we could rustle some jimmies in the offseason.

ETA: you act like any fans are gonna contend your point. We just built the nicest stadium in all of cbb and have one of the best coaches in the nation. The championships are on the way. Sit tight.

I think it’s premature to call Cannizaro one of the best coaches in the nation.

Yep. I argued with somebody about this very subject. Alabama on the msb board. Said bama was number 2 behind kentucky. Lol

Tide is probably not #2 behind UK in basketball but they have historically been at the upper end of SEC basketball.

Best, no. But I do like how they care a lot and invest in baseball. Nice facilities for sure. And when Will Clark talks, it's just funny.

but ever since around 1996 LSU has surpassed State as the king of the SEC in baseball.

Try 1991 when LSU won their 1st National Championship. By 1996, LSU was on National Title #3.

Lots of people say dumb things. Doesnt mean its representative of the thinking of all MSU fans.

Having been a CF and playing my share of games at Dudy Noble Field I can personally tell you that the dumbest things that were ever said to me by spectators were screamed by MSU fans sitting in the beds of pickup trucks in the Left Field Lounge.

But they're not there yet. Try beating LSU first. You were 0-5 last year, and three of those were on your home field.

Starkville is the only place in the SEC where folks take their baseball as seriously as we do in BR.

I disagree.

I mean it's not the craziest thing I've read on here recently. So many kids play serious baseball in rural areas. Mississippi has alot of rural.

There is a whole lot of dumb in the world but I need some examples. When did you play? I can't remember when there were pickups in centerfield at DN; 90s or so maybe?

As far as how much their fans support the team they are a close second to LSU. They have a REALLY GOOD atmosphere on game days and are a lot of fun to go watch.

As for overall achievements, LSU is the king and it's not even close.

See my OP. Their resume doesn't compare to South Carolina's or Florida's either. 4th best baseball program at best.

I agree if you base it off achievements alone. But they do take baseball far more seriously than any other SEC program except for LSU and it's a close race in that category.

They have also had a lot of MLB legends come through their program over the years.
