Yeah sure, state has a better program than LSU in baseball. Check out the statistics for yourself and you make that decision. It's not close.

MSU has a cool baseball culture and a solid history . 4th best .

Yes. Great history and trying to finally play catch up with our stadium.

No onr in the SEC has been more successful than LSU, USC, MSU, and FL... but the SEC overall is great, period.

Just about every other team in the SEC has had success and can take a series from you on any weekend.

We had big crowds and the outfield before anyone but LSU built one helluva stadium and is the crowd leader in recent years.

It's a moot argument. Right now LSU is top in crowd, success, and atmosphere.

What Carolina did before they entered the SEC is not relevant to SEC Baseball.

IN the last 25 years, I have attended multiple LSU baseball games at every venue except UK and Mizzou. I go to the SEC Baseball Tournament (at least parts of it) every year. This is how I rank the schools in terms of bigtime game/program atmosphere.

1. LSU
2. State
3. Ole Miss
4. Arkansas
5. Carolina

and the rest are like going to high school baseball games. Considering how good Vandy and UF teams are recently, their pathetic program situation is unfortunate.

What's that got to do with who took baseball seriously the earliest?

SC and Miss State had some hellacious regional battles in the 80s ... but we had been having hellacious regional battles with Miami and FSU long before that.

Care to know who some of the LSU and Miami assistants were in the 70s slick?

Don't try tell Gamecock baseball fans shite about college baseball and who's had crazy baseball atmospheres the longest ... I know of a certain coach who flat out said SC had the best baseball atmosphere in the country in the 70s. You wanna know who?

And as far as the absolute fricktard statement about what SC did before '92 doesn't count, that's fine, whatever. Let's talk about what SC has done in baseball since joining the SEC slick.

Wanna check league records of every program since '92.

And while I give LSU and MSU props for atmosphere having been to Dudley Nobile and The Box many many many times ... I've been to Zwayze even more and Arkansas three times and nobody, nobody not smoking bath salts anyway, is going to claim Baum and Swayze are better game day atmospheres that either the old Sarge or our new Founder's Park. You'd be laughed the frick outta any conversation you attempted to have along those lines with any broadcasters or Aaron Fitz or any of the Baseball America or Perfect Game guys. It is one of THE most fricktard idiotic claims ever made on this forum and THAT is saying something your incredibly full of shite dumbass trying to make anyone believe your absolute bullshite.

Goddamn you are a fricktard of an unbelievable magnitude.

Baum and Swayze are both great venues ... Baum is a palace except I am not fond of artificial turf on a baseball field ... and Swayze has always been one of my favorite places to watch a ballgame since I was a kid. The Box, especially with the new upgrades, is beautiful. Atmospheres are all great ... but (GeorgeWest) don't try that unmitigated biased lying cocksucker bullshite about four western divisions venues and atmospheres being better than SC's. You are a lying piece of shite to even claim you've ever come to an LSU series played here, not at the old Sarge and not at Founders Park, you've been to neither ... wanna know how I know?

I never said anything about that. I was specifically addressing the part about Ron Polk being the father of SEC baseball and you saying some stupid shite about what USC did before being in the SEC.

Maybe you should learn how quotes and context work, cock...

I mean, the bit I quoted specifically mentioned being "the father of SEC baseball" so it is kind of retarded to talk about what USC did before they were a part of the conference in relation to fathering baseball in said conference, ya think?

I'm not getting in this other bullshite about better traditions or fan or game day experiences. But don't use shite you did before joining the conference to talk about how you deserve to be known as fathering baseball in the conference.

Holy shite it only gets more idiotic with you doesn't it?

Where did any Gamecock fan claim to be the Father of SEC Baseball? Show us ... quote it.

We're the least pretentious fans in this league. Yet, you made a claim that was complete bullshite which led to this little tiff and you continue to post unmitigated bullshite right to the very end. Do you really think that making it up as you go is going to make you look less like a complete and total asshat than you've already made yourself look in this thread?

frick it. Just frick it. You're a waste of time. You and the other asshat both ... don't know your SEC baseball history from your asshats. And you claim SC fans are the noobs in this conference. Sheeeeesh I've seen it all now.

Correct, you would need to sweep us for 17 years to get the H2H record even.

I love coming to your place every chance I get when my Gamecocks play there. Great atmosphere, great tradition, great fans, great food, great history. Can't wait to experience the upgrades. Really looking forward to it next year ... I think we go to Baum this year and have LSU and Ole Miss at home in Founder's. Maybe we finish on the road at A&M this year but I'm not for sure.

2019 though, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I'll be back to see Dudley Nobile remodeled ... hope y'all don't mess with the outfield ambiance too much. I'll never forget my first trip there in the 80s.

If that is your metric then Princeton, Yale, and even Columbia have far superior football programs to Florida.

LSU's run in the 90's is the greatest decade I have seen any sports program have but does not overshadow the rest of history, it just does not suit my narrative tonight.

According to LSU fans football did not exist from '59 to 2000, baseball was invinted in 1990, and basketball was canceled 25 years ago, unless Wade pans out then the NCAA may bring the sport back.

SoCal's baseball run from the 60s-70s was pretty impressive. Rigged in their favor but still as impressive as it gets.

LSU also has more SEC titles and SEC tournament titles.

Is the new stadium on the same grounds as the old one?

On a side note, no idea how that 2008 UGa team didn’t win. They were stacked that year. I know Fresno just got on a roll, but still. Beckham, Poythress, Fields to close...killer group they had.
