I'm definitely ready for baseball season. Kentucky returns a lot, so we should be in for an exciting season again in Lexington.

Mingione brought some nice pieces in through the portal as well. But, as per usual, they have a tough schedule even outside of the SEC.

- Based on 2023 RPI, all 30 SEC games on Mizzou's schedule this season would be Quad 1.

Last year Kentucky scheduled better than anyone in the nation and it played a major part in hosting.

They're following a similar approach in 2024 with a road-heavy slate without RPI anchors but will need to make hay as they close SEC play with a gauntlet.

That 5 series stretch to close the year is:

vs Tennesee (#9)
at S. Carolina (#25)
vs Arkansas (#3)
at Florida (#2)
vs Vanderbilt (#6)

The Cats had the #1 SOS last year and will very likely be near the top again in 2024.

Tigers are ready to make another run Omaha. Missing some big names, but pitching should be better.

The transition from BasketVols to BaseVols is looking pretty solid right now.

It is.

Do you not admit that sports seasons sometimes overlap?

...and for the record, I love basketball.

Alabama could easily be better than the super regional team they fielded last year.

Here’s to hoping they can go a solid year without significant injuries to their Friday and Saturday starters.

Absolutely. You don’t have a coach that’s betting against his own team now.

Mississippi State could easily be better than the consecutive missed SEC tournament teams they've fielded the past two years.

Here's to hoping they can go a solid year without poopooing in their own mouths.

Just kidding, I hope they lose the first four series so Lemonis is canned before SEC play starts.
