Will Kiffin be on the hot seat if he loses to MSU?

Just a question and I'm not saying he should be but if this team that was in the playoffs before shitting the bed ends the year with losses to UK, LSU, Florida, and MSU, will his seat be hot?

Of the Rebal coaches who've prowled the sidelines for more than 30 games, Kiffin and Vaught are the only two to have a winning percentage of .700 or greater.

This is an asinine question.

You’re gonna have backlash from some folks here but this would be the second time in 3 seasons we had an extremely talented roster, ranked top 10 at one point in the season, and lose at least 4 games. I don’t think he should be fired or anything, but I wouldn’t at all be surprised if people start turning on him.

I hope lane stays as long as he wants
And runs off the offensive staff and maybe reconsiders our scheme
And if Kiffin ever leaves I hope we elevate Golding. Let him build a lock down D and recruit to Mississippi’s strength D Linemen and defensive players and pay big money for an offensive coach similar to what OU did with Lebby.

I'm asking the question. That's all. Ole Miss fans overreact. I'm not one of them. I was genuinely curious about everyone's thoughts.

Losing to that team this year would be the equivalent of losing to Starkville Academy. I'm not even kidding.

There should be major concerns with the program if we lose on Friday.

Ok I guess I’ll entertain anyway. Crazy shite does happen. Surely there won’t be too much worry Friday. I will say, however, it’s amazing how beaten up we are after having just had a bye week and in Kiffin’s own words being as healthy as we had been all year. Dart is a little gimpy you can tell, Harris is done, Parrish is done, center left the game, Prieskorn is hobbled, Wright got bummed up, Watkins aggravated a hamstring, Nolen hurt a hand, and we refuse to play Bentley. Lost Banks as well. It’s the damnedest thing.

Well, I tend to agree but there's a lot of people up in arms about this last loss and I'm not sure if the money folks are kind of upset. I guess that's what I'm really asking. What's the mind of the real influence makers at Ole Miss. A lot of money was poured into this team. If a State loss occurs, would that light a fire?

Personally, I think it would be retarded to get rid of him. I think he's learning, although, we've seen some stubbornness creep it's way in that we haven't seen in a couple of years. That does concern me. The Bentley thing concerns me. But there's no way we beat UGA like we did without Kiffin on the sidelines. I just want to make the playoffs soon.

Yeah learning how to completely throw the baby out the window with “The Last Dance”, basketball goals, not playing the best running back, not throwing to tight ends, dumb arse play calling, etc… it looks like regression to me.

I think I’ll go tweet pictures of alligators at him daily since he was so fond of them earlier this year

Almost as if he wants to goad fanbase backlash so he can feel better about leaving.

I think it's more 2 steps forward and 1 step back. We are still going in the right direction as a program. I'm interested to see how this transfer portal window shakes out.

Our D has vastly improved. Our offense took a step back, yet in that step back we still are at the front of the SEC in stats and are only a few boneheaded play calls from being undefeated. It could be that we have become a bit spoiled.
