If only everyone else saw Matt Luke in the same light as Bjork and the businesses of Oxford. Oh well, the football program will crater and by extension, so will the economy of Oxford. But at least they got their guy, and the NCAA saved college athletics from the perennial cheaters.

I keep hearing this “everyone in oxford likes Matt Luke shite” but no one I know that lives in Oxford likes him or wants him to be our coach.

Matt Luke coaching at Ole Miss is driving what it'll take to get players out of MS way down. Hell they probably went for free just for the actual coaching and fun experience of winning.

At least Luke has a back-up plan if we missed on Dean and the other defensive recruits unlike Hugh Freeze.
Oh wait, we don't. It's almost like that problem was exclusively Freeze's and we just hired the extension of that failure as our head coach and nothing has changed.

Lol we somehow still have the 22nd class in the country and are ranked higher than Southern Cal
Not that it matters since we're 7th in the West and got out-crooted by Arkansas, but it's still kinda funny that a likely job-killing class is still in the top 25 and ranked ahead of multiple blue bloods...and Kentucky, Mizzou, and Vandy. Missing on everyone today sucks. Having what's probably now the worst football program in the conference really fricking sucks. It's kinda funny that we're not dead last in the conference or even close to it though, despite the fact that we're an open and notorious shitshow currently

This is what happens when you promote an offensive line coach that we all wanted fired to be head coach and you recruit against the SEC west. This will happen every year that clown is our coach.

It would be one thing if we had better coaching than those teams to make up for less talent, but now we are officially last in talent and last in coaching ability. Not a strong formula if you ask me. I’ll be shocked if any game next season is half full

At least when O was the coach we were recruiting well and there was some reason to be optimistic. I would argue that Luke is a worse coach, orgeron was an elite defensive line coach and Luke was below average as an offensive line coach, and add that to the fact he sucks at recruiting and it’s just a disaster. I’m really looking for a reason to think things can improve but until bjork and Luke are gone I just don’t see it

It's funny that you quoted that but completely left off the quote of him having to FINISH. If you add Dean and Ray in this class it's probably a top 17 class and everyone is happy.

He lost those battles.
You don't have to tell me that Luke didn't finish those battles. It's the reason I didn't want him as coach to begin with while you all were begging me and HJJ to give him a chance. The guy is a walking embodiment of David Cutcliffe. Won't ever completely suck but will NEVER recruit at a level to win big.

Now all they care about is politics and having full access when they want it (hence the Luke hire and push to give him a chance)

Our schedule kinda sucks, and if we keep getting slammed with breakfast game kickoffs, the Grove will be a ghost town, as it largely was for a lot of the second half of the season. Like, if Arkansas blows us out Week 2, especially should Tiger High have already beaten us, our home games will end up in the worst timeslots and you’ll see far fewer season ticket holders going to like 3+ games. Yeah, the boosters will still go to a game or two, but there’s a hard chance everything falls off a cliff if we aren’t at least .500 and have no deeply debilitating losses outside of @ Bama by the end of Week 6, after Vandy. If the wheels are already off by then, October and November will be brutal
