I didn't say we are average right now. I said that is what Luke is and what I believe he will provide if given time. We just got back to a full scholarship squad. I don't know if Luke gets that time but its what he is as a coach.

What? Those dudes are tRant and tRebalRant legends.

To me, the golden age of tRant was 2013 - 2015. Think about all the names just from Mississippi alone:

Al Bundy Bulldog
CDawg
mercerbears
sorantable

I be 29, but I’ve been hardcore about OM football since ‘98 or so.

It’s produced nothing but misery. I’ve even started to loathe the culture of OM, which is basically the only thing that keeps us in conversations at all (da grooove).

I’m am firmly apathetic right now and it has made things more pleasant tbh. It will be hard to suck me back in again.

I'm not saying anything bad about Leach. He might well be what Ole Miss needs. But, let's recall Steve Sloan.

Sloan was 12-9-2 in 2 years at VANDY, including a trip to the Peach Bowl. He was then 23-12 at Texas Tech in 3 years, with trips to the Bluebonnet Bowl and the Tangerine Bowl. So, 35-21-2 in 5 years (7 wins per year average) with 3 bowl games.

At Ole Miss, Sloan's best year was his first (5-6). Overall, he was 20-34-1 with a conference record of 8-23-1 over 5 years. So an average of 4 wins a year, with 1.6 conference wins per year.

My point is that Leach may well be a proven coach, but that does not always translate to being a successful Ole Miss coach.

You'll get sucked right back in if we start winning. It always happens.

Sorry if it’s been discussed but I haven’t seen it. What would you guys think if Ole Miss pursuer Pete Golding if Luke gets canned?

Golding is a good coach from what I know, but I’d rather at least look first at somebody with head coaching experience.

Sure, to an extent. But I’ll never have the passion I once had ever again. The miraculous rise and catastrophic gut punch in such a short period of time fricked up my brain. Add to that the fact that CFB is getting shittier every year and I just don’t think that spark will ever return.

It's difficult to get excited for the CFB season when at best you have a bowl trip to Charlotte/Jacksonville/Nashville as your prize. Unless you are a fan of the five teams capable of winning it all it's sorta pointless.

I can’t decide if it was a sorantable alter or Al Bundy’s demented uncle

Passion is fleeting. It ebbs and flows. Hell, even Bama can’t fill all their seats. I honestly think some of their fans are tired of just winning all the time. We’ll get it gong again one day. Maybe sooner than we think.
