So far from everything I’ve read it looks like Matt corral leads the way. I don’t know if Plumlee can really be the quarterback that we need him to be. I love watching him though and if he can learn to pass he could be an absolute dynamite quarterback but if Matt corral gets better then he probably will outshine him and I have no idea what’s going on with Grant Tisdale.

I agree. From everything I have seen, they are using this season as an opportunity to run what they want to run regardless of the personnel to sell that to recruits. That leads me to believe that it will be an offense that focuses on the forward pass- which obviously means Corral.

JRP can still be an incredibly valuable piece as a change of pace quarterback or in the slot, etc.

Corral allows us to utilize the athletes we have at WR better than Plumlee does. The ability to pass the ball effectively also opens up more opportunities in the running game for guys like Ealy, Snoop, etc. Gotta give the nod to the guy who can throw the ball, and it seems like Corral is the best option.

Biggest problem I see with Tisdale is that he doesn’t run as well as Plumlee or throw as well as Corral. He’s in the middle of those two in terms of ability which doesn’t pose any significant advantage. Having a balance at QB would be nice, but isn’t necessary because of how good our RBs are this year.

It doesn't matter which QB wins out, or if we have a dynamic offense that scores 35 points a game.

Our defense is shockingly bad. I mean, awful. Almost certainly the worst or next to worst in the conference.

The defense will get better in time. Hell, we may not even play but a handful of games this year. Not getting my hopes up for anything and if there’s much more protesting I won’t give a damn anyway.

If Corral wins he’s made vast improvements in his decision making because it sucks.

Plumlee can't throw a simple screen pass. Does he have really small hands or something?

No QB ever learns how to throw at the collegiate level. If he made it this far without a passing game, it's not going to happen.

I’d be okay with Corral being our Chris Leak, and JRP being our Tebow.

I’d blame that more on the offense from last year. He got 0 help developing under the old staff. Corrall was out there calling his own throws in the egg bowl which tells you all you need to know about what he thought of the old staff.

Agree. Rich Rod’s system thrives with a run first QB, which Corral is not. Corral will be much more comfortable in Kiffin/Lebby’s pass oriented offense so theoretically he should develop and play better this year.

The difference is that Corral is a QB and Plumlee is not. You can't have a QB that can't hit the side of a building with a ball if he's aiming for it.

Sounds like both are playing horrible right now. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Is there a timeline for naming the starter? Taking y’all against Florida with the points is that a good pick? I have +16.5.

I doubt we name a starter prior to the game but it's Corral. Plumlee will probably have packages and I believe Kade Renfro will be Corral's primary back-up.
