Yeah. I did notice that he’s gone hitless in the postseason during his tenure. Never made a single quality pitch either. Valid point.
There's one common denominator in all of our heartbreaks in the post season. And it's him. If his players go hitless, his pitchers pitch shitty, and his fielders make errors, that is on the coach.

Evan Button not making a throw that middle school second basemen make routinely every single day is not on the coach. That kid jumping out of the way of that pitch that wouldve hit him against Texas with the bases loaded is not on him. He coached those guys daily how to execute in those situations and the players didn’t perform. This team won the toughest Regional in the country. A regional where Mike did make the right decisions and push the right buttons time and time again. I’ll go as far to say without Mike as our coach this team isn’t even in this position tonight. Southern Miss is probably playing in Tucson this weekend. Let’s just all hope we find a way to get the 27th out with a lead tonight. But if we’re leading in the 7th and Broadway comes in and gets rocked and we lose would that be on Mike ? No. He made the correct move and our best closer in School history didn’t get us over the line. Sometimes shite happens. Unfortunately as an OM fan it happens more often than just sometimes.

Cael Baker and TJ MCants are still in the lineup and can’t hit a ball off of a tee. That’s on the Coach.

What’s Baker’s on base % this postseason ? It’s gotta be around .375-.400. On top of that he’s the best defensive option at 1B. Defense and base running mistakes always seems to play a role in elimination games so I like going with defense but that’s my opinion. Does he strike out a lot ? Sure. That’s why you bat him 8th.

Take TJ out of the lineup. He got on base , stole second and scored a run last night. Who do you put in there for your All SEC freshman who led the team in RBIs and had a multihit night the first game of the series ? Think his replacement would be a little tight getting a spot start in the biggest game of the year ? Think he’d struggle reading fly balls in CF in a park where he’s never played CF ?

I guess there’s arguments to be made for who start in RF but we’ve gotten great production out of our right fielders hitting in the 9 hole. That’s a good problem.

We’re all on edge because we all want Omaha. I guarantee you none of us want it more than Bianco and those other coaches and kids in the dugout want it.

I think it’s more of a respect thing tbh. I’ve gone back and forth on whether or not we should fire bianco over the last few years, but the one thing keeping me from being fully on the fire train is “who can we get that’s better?” and like it or not, Bianco is a top 10-15 coach in the country. And I don’t know how many coaches above him would leave where they are for us

I left the Rant for years. Making up for lost time. I heard we’re starting Broadway. If he can put up some zeroes it’s good I guess. Don’t let McDaniel or Dougherty get shelled and then you bring him in early to pitch a bunch of innings anyway. I like him for the last 9 outs not the first 15 but if this gives us the best chance to win so be it. Just field it clean and find a way.

I just texted Coach Mike. Maybe I’ll get to start the next game.

I almost bought back into to retaining him from this thread, but man oh man if LSU took him away I wouldn't shed a tear

We can’t get rid of Bianco. If he is allowed to stay another 21 years he will likely double his current number of trips to Omaha!!!!!

Does getting shelled early count as a WAOM? I don’t think so but losing big and never in it is WAOM like…

Work early in the morning. At least I won’t have to worry about missing anything when I cut it off as well

1-6 now in Super Regionals under Mike Bianco.

But we shouldn't fire him because 20+ years ago before he got here we sucked

When Doug isn’t on the mound, Ole Miss is not a top 25 team. Bianco’s tenure proves what the ceiling for this program is.

It's our ceiling with Bianco as our head coach. We have the facilities, talent and fan support that we should have 3 possibly 4 Omaha trips since 2000.
