Yep, I don't see how we can possibly not host now. Before this season started, I wouldn't have even thought that would be a possibility.

7-3 in the last 10 including 5-1 against top 15 teams. 20-15 in the SEC including the “non cons” against UT and MSU plus the tourney. If that isn’t hosting I don’t know what is.

Looking at rpi, sos, sheer number of sec wins and who we’ve beaten we should be closer to a top 8 seed than 16. I don’t know how anyone could justify us not hosting at this point, especially after watching us the last week.

Doubt we beat vandy, but that would put us at 21 sec wins, 6-1 against top 15 teams in our last 7 games, potential wins against acc and big12 tourney champs, and our only non con loss that isn’t making the tourney is south Alabama.

We took the series from them just a couple of weeks ago. Our guys are on fire. We just need our bats to wake up and I like our chances. Who gets the start tomorrow?
And for those that kept saying we needed to sacrifice baseball for basketball, I need not remind you how great of a sport this is and how much it means to a lot of us Rebs fans, even if it doesn't mean that much to you.

Baseball America has us up to #11 and D1Baseball has us at #10 so a win today may let us sneak up to 7 or 8 and a national spot.
UNC beating Clemson today would probably help as Clemson is #7 and #8 in the brackets.

If Clemson loses today and Ole Miss wins I think the Rebels get the #8 National Seed. We're sitting on the #10 RPI right now and playing the #1 RPI in the Championship in a few minutes. We drove over yesterday and back last night. I think there will be a lot of red and blue there today. Certainly more than black and gold.

As pessimistic as we’ve all been this year (rightfully so after the last 2 years) Bianco has done an amazing job with this team in an insanely deep conference. The fact that we are in the conversation for a national seed now is crazy. I’ll give him credit. He knew we need a pitching coach and he went out and got one. And it’s made a world of difference.
