Wasn't bait. Why would ole miss fans want you on their team board after a painful loss? Can't even wait 24 hours to post that good game bullshite? You suck.

The key to yesterdays game was the D. While we were exchanging blows on the Offense we could stay somewhat balanced. Once our D let them get the lead we had to drop back 75% of the time and their athletic DEs attacked the edges.

If Partridge is going to stick with the 3-2-6 we have to stop the drop 8 into a soft zone where their QB can sit back and wait for a WR to find a hole. Either change the system or trust the DBs to go man and get exotic on your pass rush that Gary fricking Danielson can’t identify from the press box (do we have the athletes to get the pressure).

Oh and we need to find a TE that can block without holding and not drop everything thrown his way.

We are gonna have to score a lot of points the rest of the way to finish
9-3. I was expecting to lose a close game not get outscored 28-0 in the 2nd. Dart definitely got his first taste of a hostile away SEC environment and grew up some. That should help in College Station this weekend.

I just don’t understand the point of yesterday’s defensive game plan at all. We played a lot of 5 and 6 man fronts and kept dropping safeties deep in coverage. Daniels is not a good deep ball thrower and we let them run the ball and didn’t force them into enough 3rd and longs. The OLine played pretty awful outside of the first couple of drives. When Dart had enough time to throw the football we always had WRs running free against their secondary but it didn’t matter because Dart was running for his life the entire 2nd half.

This is a game we 100% need to win. Beat A&M, Arkansas, and State. Finish 10-2 in a rebuilding year with a freshman QB. Would lead to a lot of excitement going into next year.

The OL was okay while we were a threat to run the ball. But once we went down in score their athletic DLs pinned their ears back and came. Plus we did a horrible job handing off pass blocks. I think the biggest problem for our OL is you need to learn to handle quick twitch DL at practice and thus far the only guys that have that are CJ at DE and JJ at DT. The rest of our DL are serviceable roll players.

Where has Mack and Clowney been? We heard they looked good on the hoof now but I don’t recall seeing them getting any meaningful reps & having an impact.

Let me take you back to Ole Miss defenses over the past two decades. It’s bend, don’t break. And we always break.

No. Defense has looked atrocious against inferior opponents all season long. Tulsa, Vanderbilt, Auburn etc. LSU isn't a bad team but still inexcusable giving up 45 to them.

Chris Partridge is a problem.

The Tampa 2 defensive philosophy sounds eerily familiar.

Haha yeah I was talking more so about the first two points.

That dead duck pass Daniels threw to the end zone into double coverage and we over ran the interception and LSU scored a TD was the turning point.
We pick that and get the ball back up 17-3

Actually playing the ball from a defensive back perspective must be quite the challenge because not too many do it well and we definitely don’t and haven’t in quite a while.

thought the same thing. The DB saw the ball and held his hands up to catch....but made ZERO effort to stop his momentum going away from the ball. That shows me a lack of aggressiveness.

It has. I think we got caught flat footed with Durkin leaving. I always looked at Partridge as the recruiting arm of the defense. Need to bring on someone to help with design and scheming.
