There’s a reason all this came about quickly. Obviously nothing is ever final but I’m feeling very confident

It obviously makes sense if they have someone locked-up to get the firing out first and fast.

You hearing that other than from Neal and Chase?

I haven’t heard anything from the guy I know and probably won’t unless it is to confirm something and add details.

I've had a few people who work in athletics tell me there's a lot of talk about Norvell going around, though it might be exacerbated thanks to Neal and Chase

What about Bronco Mendenhall the UVA coach?

Wouldn't hate the wake forest coach either.

If we are resigning coaches let’s bring back O. I’m sure we can dig his chopper out of long term storage

Don't think he'd be interested in leaving UVA for us. Would be a good hire though

I'd be happy with Norvell or Macintyre

Norvell as head coach, keep Macintyre for DC. Keep Syskey as recruiting director. (As long as Norvell approves of both of those, if he doesn’t then let him hire whoever)

If we get Norvell what are the chances that Memphis goes after Freeze?

Memphis will go after another up and coming OC most likely, that's what both Fuente and Norvell were before they went to Memphis

It looks like Mike MacIntyre has been tabbed Interim Head Coach.

There's no way they hire another interim permanently, is it?

Norvell with MacIntyre staying on as DC would be a popular move, I would think

I don't know if they can afford MacIntyre as HC. IIRC his buyout at Colorado pays him about $3.5 million a year through 2021. That's deducted by any salary he gets as a HC, but he can collect salary as an assistant without any issues.

So he made about $5 million this year, I think. Though he may be willing to take a pay cut to get another shot at a P5 head job.

If Matt Campbell was realistic I'd say him, but I just don't think he cares to be in the SEC. Give me Kiffin or Norvell. Harsin would't be terrible but idk how much he's done to build up boise and not just riding the wave he inherited

They must think he’s an FSU lock. What are their insiders saying? I haven’t seen anything out of FSU twitter to think it’s a done deal
