Where is our friend Henry on the model formulated by the Swiss psychiatrist:

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

I'll hazard a guess and say Stage 2.

He wanted Les Miles. Which would've been a complete a mess. Not sure why he's slamming Luke so much. Give the dude a chance jeez.

So you'd rather give arguably the worst offensive line coach in the SEC a chance over a national championship and SEC title winning head coach?

You are high as a kite if you think that is sane

Worst OL coach? Never seen that list before. Success doesn't necessarily translate.

So you think we would win a natty with Les Miles?

I can completely understand the skepticism around Luke. But he didn’t hire himself and to not give the guy at least one chance, one season... makes absolutely no sense.

Did I say that? No.

He would have been 100 times better than what we have

He had his season last year. Was not impressed. Especially when Bama hung 60 on us, we loss to Cal and blew a massive lead to Arkansas at home.

But yeah, lets totally give him a chance because he beat a Mississippi State team without their best player and a coach whose focus was on Florida.

Please tell me a valid reason he deserved the job. Saying we had no other choice, that he beat State and that he held things together are complete bullshite

2018 is a fair shake, at minimum. He needs to be able recruit and play without sanctions. Only fair.

So three full years being a head coach? Hope you enjoy being a laughing stock long after he is gone. He doesnt even deserve the year he is getting. Please tell me why he does deserve it

Personally, I agree with Henry. To lose to the worst Ark team in years at home after being up 31-7 at home and the fact that MSU did everything they could to give us the game, only to have us try and give it back, let's me know all I need to know about Luke as a head coach. Do you remember MSU's onside kick and our kids being caught completely off guard?

We tried really hard to be worth a shite, but I think Ole Miss football might just be over.

There are a lot of guys that if paid $3.5 million would love Ole Miss. Like was a shitty shitty OL coach. He sucked last year as HC. He a terrible hire. We just wasted years on a homer.

wasted years

Years with no possibility of postseason are already pretty well wasted regardless of who's in charge. We at least would've been bowl eligible last year

Luke has to prove he's better than he is, and he hasn't done that yet, but there is a lot of time between now and February signing day, and the worst case scenario for the season is that he's as bad as most of us think he is, in which case he might hopefully get fired. Plus, there's always a chance like Black gets upped to a 5* or something. I get that there's not much more to do other than bitch about Matt Luke right now in the dog days of summer though
