I don't remember who it was on this forum but every time that Luke was the coach people were like he looks like he smells s*** on the sidelines

He flamed out bad at Auburn and the success he had in Oxford was over 10 years ago now. Sometimes the sequel isn’t as good as the original.

Freeze's biggest issue is his inability to get quality assistant coaches. He just doesn't have a lot of good connections. I think he is still a good coach but he just doesn't have the personnel resources to really compete. His playcalling became a bit predictable as well. And then, when all is said and done, he simply opens his mouth and steps in his own way.

I think Cohen was probably overbearing and they probably didn’t have much of a relationship considering Cohen’s family dynamic.
The boosters I think ate him alive and that stressed him out. On top of all that he also had cancer he was dealing with. Hell, halfway through his first season with them, you could see it on his face how stressed and bogged down he was. The job had already beaten him down. ESPECIALLY after we went there and beat them.
Personally I think because of his connections he has here and his relationship with the boosters he would be fine. Plus Ole Miss is his literal dream job and this is his home. So I think he would have the fire and desire to give it everything he had again.
That being said, there’s no way Carter hires him

Even though a lot has changed, I would take Hugh back, if Pete didn't work out for this reason alone-

I'm am cautiously optimistic about the season but our schedule is significantly tougher than the last two seasons and in those seasons most of the SEC games were won on coin flips in the 4th quarter. I don't think that changes this year.
Simmons (& Lee) looked pretty good last night. Unfortunately, Missouri was gifted 3 years of top level development on our nickel.
