Bentley is not and has never been an SEC feature back. Not one season was he that at ole miss.
People getting mad at Bentley not playing are missing the point.
Letting judkins go without a comparable back lined up was the issue.
It’s still a failure by Lane.
But people are getting mad about the wrong part. Bentley was never talented enough to be an SEC feature back and he certainly wasn’t durable enough.
And neither was Parrish.

Dude, he’s not playing AT ALL. He’s an explosive complementary piece AT WORST.
You act like we’ve been trotting better options out there. It’s been walk-ons and WRs. It’s ridiculous, and yes, it’s on the coaching staff that they didn’t replace Judkins with a competent RB, but this is them doubling-down on that mistake.
Worst of all, they’re treating us (a very enthusiastic fanbase) like we’re idiots.

I would have bet a few that their plan was to use Bentley and Parrish equally. That would have saved Parrish a little obviously enough. But let’s not forget our run blocking has still been woeful against a decent defense.

The run game has always unlocked the pass game under Kiffin's offenses. Whether it be someone coming in from HS like Judkins or a transfer - if we don't solve the run game next year will have the exact same struggles
