Simmons was early Highschool graduate. He is not a college graduate yet.

And even so, it doesn't circumvent the NFL rules that you have to spend 3 years between HS and the NFL. We have him for another 2 seasons as a starter irregardless of whether he wants to jump to the NFL after next season or not.

Is he not in his 2nd year at Ole Miss? He is a RS FR.

Is LSU eventhough they have 3 losses still a danger to us? Can they make the conference championship and what if they were to win it? I see no real reason why this could actually happen given how they have played... just wondering.

Then they would get an auto bid and first round bye.

If they lost, they would be out.

If they don’t get in to the SECCG, they are out.

As long as we don’t lose, we are in.

Kiffin will put up a billion points if he can the last two games. It’s why we ran up the score often early in the season.

Only if they win the SEC

And so if this is possible the answer is yes. Damn we should have taken care of business with them and that rag tag bunch from Kentucky.

LSU path to the SEC Championship game is so convoluted and unlikely it doesn't seem possible. It's like a series of 8 diferent things that have to happen like: TN loses to Vandy, Texas loses to KY and then beats A&M. Alabama loses to Auburn, etc etc etc.

LSU will almost certainly be eliminated by this weekend.

If LSU goes to the title game, it means that Tennessee & Alabama, possibly even Texas would fall. Those scenarios help us. If we win out, we are in... period.

While I agree that it’s unlikely. It’s not actually convoluted. Every team that is currently favored in each matchup has to win except Arkansas/Mizzou. If everyone that’s favored in each game wins and, Arkansas upsets Mizzou
(They probably will), then LSU goes. I think the best thing that can happen for us this weekend is for Tennessee to beat Georgia. It decreases the value of our win but it removes Georgia from the equation entirely and removes the possibility of LSU getting the autobid.

If every favorite wins, it'll be Texas and Bama. But that's not going to happen.

I hope I’m not jinxing it but due to what is at stake and the fact we get a week off, I feel like we are about to absolutely obliterate Florida and State.

Especially now that the Florida game is confirmed at noon. I was a little concerned about it being a night game in The Swamp

If Ole Miss wins out with a decent win over UF and a blowout over MSU then I think we're in. We are unlikely to do anything but go up from 11. The only way we would drop (aside from losing) is if we squeak out wins over UF and MSU. UF is talented enough to give us issues and MSU is a rivalry game.

Beat UF by 10+
Beat MSU by 17+
and I think we are in.

We needed to get our groove back and now we control our destiny

I think that’s huge in the teams’ mindset.

Leave no doubt.

What would be great is a 20 point win against Florida and a 30+ point win against MSU. Total domination should be our game plan.

if we blow them out and look as dominant defensively as we did against Georgia, i could see us hosting. I know i know, crazy talk, but it would be extremely hard for anyone to make a case that we wouldn’t be the hottest team in the country over the last ~6 weeks

Kiffin is down in Lucedale today visiting Deuce Knight. It would be a dumb use of resources but I hope we outbid Auburn just to stick it to Brother Hugh.
