Haven't seen it discussed... maybe I missed it, but the OL from Louisiana (Cryer) decommitted I see. LSU in his ear.

Sounds like he had been waiting for an offer from them.

Opposed to Freeze inviting the ncaa on campus and getting a multi year colonoscopy followed by multiple years of Matt Luke, probation and bowl bans.

Don’t think you’d win that argument in court, lawyer.

Uh, yeah. I would take the Freeze years over what happened at the end of last year all day long.

I don’t recall Freeze calling out the fans for being not committed and invested all while openly lobbying for a different job and the will he stay or leave midway through the season to leverage that into a big raise and clearly tanking the season and having the players lose focus on if they needed to transfer out if the coach bailed

That really left a sour taste in my mouth

Kiffin can’t have this shite both ways .

What? Funny that Auburn wanted Kiffin, and we, apparently, wanted Freeze. Odd. Also, does the coach really recruit or is that more about NIL?

Its both. Freeze runs circles around Kiffin when it comes to recruiting

By definition, he wasn’t openly lobbying for a different job. At no point was he “openly” talking about trying to leave.

Now…..was Sexton putting in the extra work? I don't doubt that part at all.

It gets into semantics

He could have easily said from when all the buzz started after Harsin was fired that he was not interested and he was OM’s coach. And killed any flames or momentum on that issue

He chose not to and instead let it drag out impacting the Arkansas and Egg bowl games meanwhile leveraging a big raise to sign days after the egg bowl .

Don’t think that was a coincidence .

Hes also said a number of times over the years that he does NOT discuss anything involving stuff like this until the off-season as to not create a distraction.

The problem was that the silence from him and the screaming from fans became the distraction. He definitely should have broken his rule and spoke up sooner though….

Sexton does this with everyone.

You don't have to choose. We had late season collapses under Freeze too.

Kiffin had every opportunity to nip the problem in the bud but he didn't.

His famous tweet at the reporter was even cryptic. Just come out and say "I'm not going" and move the frick on.

Our recruiting is pretty lack luster right now but I think early commitments are pretty much meaningless now days.

Some schools are paying kids up front to commit. But Ole Miss is gonna wait until the week of signing day to deliver.

We have waaay too much NIL money to not finish with a top 15 class.

But what if he was interested and the extra money swayed his decision to stay at Ole Miss?

Then leave if you don't want to be here.

You want another coach with no ambition? Matt Luke cured me of that.
