I love how methodical this staff is with recruiting. Based on Rivals rankings, right now, Ole Miss has Six 4 stars and Five 3 stars committed which gives us an average recruit rating of 3.55 which is 13th best in the country.

Good point. I also think Kiffin wants to keep multiple spots open for transfers. He's already delved deep in that market and will likely continue to do so. Unless the FNCAA makes some changes, I doubt he'll use all 25 slots for high schoolers.

I wish someone could explain to me the whens and whats of what happens to our available scholarships when a player transfers to another school. Take Ryder Anderson for example. When he transferred to Indiana, did that immediately free up a scholarship that we can then offer to another student athlete? And say when a player transfers in, like the Rhodes kid from S.C., that doesn't count against our 25 for that recruiting cycle does it?

Inglewood (Calif.) quarterback Justyn remains committed to Cal but has a few official visits set up including on to Ole Miss this weekend.

“I can’t wait to get out there and see the game atmosphere,” Martin said. “I took an unofficial trip there over the summer and really liked it a lot.

“I was able to see the campus and the football facilities, work out for the coaches and also see the city. I felt really comfortable there and like the coaching staff a lot. I talk with coach Lebby a few times a week and we have a good relationship and I like coach Kiffin a lot as well.”

Renovated Manning Center

I guess this will help with recruiting. I reckon they want it done before next season

Wow. So glad to be wrong about how NIL was going to affect our recruiting. This staff w/ a talented deep roster can make some noise.

Seems like lots of momentum from yesterday for two defensive recruits:

Tyler Banks is a 3* athlete out of Virginia. We seem to be recruiting him at LB.

Jaylon White is a 3* Safety out of Arkansas.

We need all the defensive talent we can get so good to see us with momentum for 2 defenders.

I'd say that is a positive sign.

Jaylon White will likely play the Otis Reese hybrid spot. Great pick-up. Very athletic kid despite rankings.

I watched his video and was wondering why he is ranked higher. Seemed to be extremely athletic and a game changer,

White looks like he’s 25 years old already. Expect him to be a solid player at the very least.

Watching the LSU game. Brad Johnson doesn’t look bad. I see Myles Brennan transferring next year. Wouldn’t be surprised if he transferred to ole miss. I believe his brother played at ole miss. Lots of family ties to Oxford and friends. So possibly someone to look out for next year in the portal. Because I’m sure we get a qb out the portal.

I actually agree that Brennan to Ole Miss is something to actually watch next year. I’m not sure he’s a good enough runner for this offense but he might be one of the better QBs in the portal if he decides to leave.

Watching MSU right now and there's no damned reason why we should lose out on anyone we really want in this state to them. They're regressing badly.

He apparently loved Georgia.

Unless they're trying to make it not obvious that he's coming to us and always has been, I think we are third in the race room right now. Georgia and Texas ahead of us
