Of course. smh. The entry in bold really looks like it belongs with the rest of titles listed.

I would take the job for 120k and have campus affairs running like a well oiled machine in a matter of months.

Can chancellor and AD hires be wrapped up in six-ish weeks? That might be enough time to dump Luke and hire someone competent.

First order of business would be telling the ASB to frick off and none of their votes will be taken seriously.
Especially if they're out of state students

This has to be a home run hire or Ole Miss is completely finished unfortunately. I'm almost fifty years old and graduated from the University in the 1980's. I have never, in my life , seen the school in such disarray. We had to do away with some of our traditions and most alumni accepted that. The continual destruction of everything, though, has done irreparable harm. I could write a book detailing the gradual decline. The bottom line is that the school now, in it's current state, is almost recognizable to alumni aged 40+. I calculated the other day at least 20 people I know personally whose families have stopped buying season tickets, giving yearly donations, etc. And it's not just one reason. It's a summation of many things. They feel like they been taken for granted, ignored, etc. There just isn't the connection and emotional attachment they (myself included) always had with the University. The CEO of CSpire has stated that going so extreme with bowing to political correctness has hurt the Ole Miss brand. Anyone that's honest knows this is the truth. We have gone from a school having the most active alumni base in the nation (% of dues paying alumni) to a school of dropping enrollment and three straight years of decreasing alumni donations. It's depressing.

Wow..somebody has had an awakening, and I couldn’t agree with you more

Wow. Couldn't agree more. I understand needing to get rid of some traditions. However, the school has been bending to the will of all these out of state students who want to change everything about the university "for the better". And when those kids graduate or leave, do you think they will give back or give a shite about Ole Miss 5 years from now? Hell no. Ole Miss has been trying to please the wrong people for the last decade or more. And it's finally costing them. And the frustrating this is that they don't want to admit they are wrong.

The list has already been narrowed down to 4 and unless there's a drastic change within the next month they've basically already chosen who they want

You guys want Cal Mayo. He’s as close to Ole Miss as you can get.

The parade of academics who have never lived or worked outside of their bubble doesn't impress me.
I wouldn't mind seeing someone from the business community take a shot at it. Couldn't be worse than the last couple of chodes we've had up there.

Just hire Bill Hardgrave or Bobby Robbins now and call it a day.
