According to Nick Suss at the Clarion Ledger, Boyce was Trent Lott’s favorite the whole time, with the quote “Plus, I love the fact that he appears to be a good ole boy.” Can’t make that shite up.

I understand that the process seems suspect, but do tell what is the big issue with Boyce outside of that? I haven't googled him yet.

Really? Got fricking dam, son. We hired a retired JUCO guy who was supposed to be interviewing the cream of the crop as our chancellor. Are you that thick? We are a power 5 SEC school, and we hired on a JUCO level.

I actually think this was a good turn of events. Those 8 clowns were a joke at best. This guy has really good qualifications. Give him a chance because this looks like a solid hire.

Technically both. OM foundation hired him at a six future salary to be a consultant in the hiring of our next chancellor. So he literally was paid to consult about every candidate that was interviewed, by OM Foundation. They (IHL) then decided to back door interview HIM for the job. 10 minutes later they decided he was the guy and ended the "search" a month early.
On top of that, a former OM alum on September 5th of those past months asked the IHL about a rumor that a consultant would be hired after the IHL went thru its interviews and seemed none of the candidates were qualified...
You literally can't make this BS up!

People that wants to keep HC Luke loves this freaking hire.. That tell me one things.. Jones/Boones are coming back to Ole Miss.. We will not get a new AD the one got now will be the hire.. HC Luke will be for you know 3 to 5 more years..

The process dude. Boyce might be “nice” but he was paid $100k to be a consultant and hired himself. He wasn’t on the final list released, he wasn’t vetted by the 39 stakeholders who have been drug through this process for the past year. It was a complete sham.
