Looks like Tulane first round

Yep. And when we beat Tulane we will get Ohio State Round 2

I don’t have a problem with that.

Let’s go ahead and knock Ohio state out early

The game that should’ve been last season for all the marbles
Frick it. Let’s gut the bastards and smear their blood on our faces

A lot easier to switch A&M and ole miss than have James Madison jump Tulane. Hope you're right. Best outcome is if Tulane is the 11 they have us switch with Oregon and we get the 5 but they'd rather switch out sec teams. They don't want blowouts and we destroyed Tulane at ole Miss earlier this year, I just don't see them letting that be the schedule when only ole Miss fans would raise hell about them switching us and A&M. All the same to the SEC.

I think Ohio State is gonna drop to 4. Texas Tech will likely be the 3 seed.

Our SOR improved slightly yesterday; our win over Tulane and our loss to UGA both look better. I suppose Oregon’s loss to Indiana might also look better for them.
The polls already had us very close behind Oregon. I’m not expecting them to elevate us over the ducks but it’s not impossible.
ETA: Our loss to UGA was by 8, in Athens. OR’s loss was at home by 10. And our wins over OK and Tulane are much better than OR’s wins over 16th ranked USC and an 8-4 Iowa. So there would be good justification for us being ahead of OR.

I can't see them sending Tulane back to Oxford, I agree that they'll either find an excuse to bump JMU ahead of Tulane, or they'll swap us and Oregon.
I also think OSU will be the 3rd seed - they do not need to be on the same side as Indiana in the semi's.
I guess if you're Ole Miss you really want that five seed - that'd put you playing JMU first round, TT in the second and Indiana in the 3rd. Honestly can't ask for much better if that's how it works out..
Staying at 6th would give you Tulane/JMU, OSU, and Georgia.

I agree we should be the 5 seed - our resume is a fair bit better than Oregon's. And having us 5 solves the re-match problem. Would also love to get TT round 2 mostly because the cotton bowl is a super easy trip for me.
However, I'll believe the committee bumping us up to 5 when I see it.

I’m as bandwagon as they come haha. State grad living in Oxford will do that.

It was good seeing Louis Moore have a great game last night in Lucas Oil. A bunch of tackles and a pick while helping shut out OSU in the 2nd half. He was committed to us for a bit and I remember him having an incredible high school highlight video.

Given it some more thought. Thinking:
(1) Indiana
(2) Ohio State
(3) UGA
(4) Texas Tech
(5) Ole Miss v. (12) JMU
(6) Oregon v. (11) Tulane
(7) Texas A&M v. (10) Bama
(8) Oklahoma v. (9) ND
Prevents any possible re-matches through the first two rounds. Sets up an Indiana v. ND second round game which would be crazy ratings.
We will also get the Saturday 11am slot. Oregon will be Saturday afternoon. The two good matchups will be the night games

I just can’t see the committee giving us a boost over a premium brand like Oregon. Would make for better TV but feels like the same wishcasting as everyone saying we would drop out last week. 7 is more likely than 5 but I think 6 and a rematch is most likely.

Probably.
But we do have a better resume than Oregon and I'd like to see us play someone other than Tulane again.

Yeah I’d love to think when the committee sits there with the bracket and realizes they could solve this rematch issue against Tulane very simply and not even much of a stretch to swap us and Oregon
It’s one of the “other factors” they can use to justify any sort of movement to do what they want.

Would be frustrating to make the playoffs and our first two potential round matches being Tulane and Georgia. Would rather fresh blood
