Apparently Florida isn't giving up and they met with "representatives" for Lane yesterday.
I get the feeling it went something like when Matt Damon sent Ben Affleck to an interview in Good Will Hunting.

What’s up with that dude having somali flags

LSU officially firing Brian Kelly today is hilarious.
I bet Lane and Sexton just love seeing the tigers fake fire their coach and then try and fire him for cause a month later after they offered two separate buyouts. Because most people fired for cause are offered 25-30 million dollar buyouts.

The whole Lane situation has reminded me of a scene at end of Burn After Reading..
Just the “What have we learned?”
Just the “What have we learned?”

Do we have rebelgator outside the door of the meeting for updates?

What do you mean outside the door? Who do you think Kiffin is meeting with?

Pete Golding posts here, he said anything lately?

Kiffin renews his contract, walks out of Keith's office to a sea of reporters. He's confused as his autism has left him unaware that there has ever any drama going on about his job

My son has a thanksgiving thing at his school from 2-3 so nothing will break until 2:15 when I'm watching a bunch of 4 year olds try to sing some song about a Turkey

IMO at this point the "money" is not a material deciding factor under any of the potential options. The main concern to Kiffin is now his reputation and, therefore, it is likely that Kiffin will do everything he can to maintain this circus through the Egg Bowl and beyond depending on outcome of that game.
If we lose Egg Bowl and do not make the play offs (which is a possibility) then it is not such a big deal to leave Ole Miss before an irrelevant bowl game (not perfect but leaving, then certainly minimizes the damage to his reputation).
If we win the Egg Bowl (then in playoffs for sure) or if he makes the playoffs even with the Egg Bowl loss, then he would likely still need the show to continue until after the playoff run is concluded (again leaving at that point certainly minimizes the damage to his reputation, if any).
I understand that nobody likes this circus because we all just want him to say he loves us. However, I really would like to keep Kiffin and to continue using him like a midnight booty call, with or without true love. Just win baby = Kiffin (if he stays he will continue to work hard for his next job).
That being understood, I think we will win the Egg Bowl (even with the continued distractions) and the longer this drags out the better the chances LSU/Florida moves on b/c of their sanctimoniously shitty fan bases are too impatient to wait.
This is why Kiffin will continue to meet with Keith, act like its business as usual (encouraging Kiffin tweets/ I will not discuss anything until season is over) until the foregoing plays out one way or the other. So buckle up buttercup.
Not Bobleedagger level prediction shite but your welcome.
I know many will disagree, but I think Keith should take the gamble and play along given the unique circumstances of this situation.
