Read the Vanity Fair piece, and man, Lane is doing everything he can to make the Ole Miss vs LSU rivalry as toxic as possible. Wouldn't be shocked if he didn't get pelted with batteries at least a dozen times when his sorry arse comes back to Oxford.

What Lane said wasn’t even a shot at Ole Miss. He just said some of the older generation still has a bad view of Ole Miss because of what happened in 62.
He didn’t say that Ole Miss or Oxford were racist today. If I were him I would be pissed at the author for twisting his words and putting out a clickbait article.
The author had an agenda with their question and got just enough from Kiffin that they could twist it.

He's seriously being an idiot. shite will be thrown. He's only guaranteeing it at this point. I hope not but we all know it will happen. I would prefer just to embarrass them on the field of play.

He was doing an interview for vanity fair.... If he expected any other outcome, he is back on drugs. He has nobody to blame but himself for this article.

It’s just so tiresome hearing about this old timey racism shite from a bunch of Medicare recipients . Can we just move on ? Goddamn. Yes it happened and yes it was awful. But this isn’t 1963 anymore. Times have changed. Let’s quick fixating on the past and projecting it as current times

don't take the bait. Lane was very strategic with this comment. This isn't going to impact recruiting, he is just trolling the administration and fanbase because he knows how much they have fought that perception and done to correct it.
