Yeah definitely need a TE to step up. Need Gill to figure his shite out too since we were banking on him being a Stribbling replacement.
Biggest concern with this team still remains to be OT and whether we can get SEC serviceable play there

I don't expect us to win this battle as I ultimately think he ends up at Ohio State, but it sounds like we've at least matched Ohio State's NIL offer for 5* RB David
Gabriel Georges.
From Tennessee but seems to be us against Ohio State with Tennessee rounding out in 3rd - but most signs point to Ohio State.
Consensus 5* and top 10 player nationally.
He's the only RB on our board at this time. Unsure if we would ultimately circle back to one of the 4* RBs we slow played who have since committed elsewhere, such as Tre Martin or Ty Keys.

Valid point. There's just so many moving parts to all of this, it's easy to miss some of the other issues that have been created by the NIL. I'm still unsure how a commitment also relates in NIL dollars.
A guy commits; is that to an NIL deal as well? And it's good for a year? Then we gotta re-recruit, increase the dollar amount if he pulls his weight to keep him on board? As you mentioned above, if he doesn't play but shows potential, same shuffle?
What else am I missing?

6th d-line commit this cycle, with 5 of them being Bluechip prospects.

On paper, and if all of these kids do sign with us, this seems to be one of the best classes we've had. So many of these 4 star kids would immediately be moved to a 5 star if they committed to an Alabama or Georgia.

We currently have more Bluechips than weve ever had in a class. It's clear Pete / this staff values high school recruiting more than Lane did.
Remains to be seen whether it's successful, but in my opinion it gives us a better shot at sustainable success over just doing the portal. Could easily become FSU if you only rely on the portal year after year.
Honestly with our current class, and our current roster, Congress / NCAA passing a 1 transfer rule would be pretty beneficial for us

High school recruit the lines, portal proven skill players. It’s the formula so far.

Pete ruined Saban so bad Saban offered him a massive raise not to leave for Oxford...

Next commit watch is Elijah Cox (On3) who is announcing tomorrow.
3* Edge out of Georgia who is also being heavily recruited by State, Clemson, Florida St, and Georgia Tech. 6'5 and 200 pounds so will need to beef up a bit.
At this point I think we are just signing as many trench players as possible and hoping some work out - which honestly is probably the right way to attack HS recruiting.
Would be our 8th commit on the D-Line this cycle (of which 6 are Bluechips).

Sounds like its 3* TE Colton Johnson out of Tennessee. If correct, he's committed to us over Indiana and Alabama. Also took official visits to Oregon and Tennessee.

He's now officially committed.

Just so y’all know, according to my CFB 27 dynasty Kamario Taylor is going to transfer to us in this class then lead us to an undefeated season and be a Heisman finalist in 2027
I can’t begin to fathom the meltdown if that actually happened IRL
