SEC country is the most diverse area in the United States in terms of answers to this question.

I'm going to guess Bermuda.

ETA: After looking at Google Maps it's definitely Canada.

Canada. I know this because the very tip of N E. TN is as close or closer to Canada as it is to Memphis as mind boggling as that sounds (we are a loooong state).

Which was Mexico, until a few Volunteers

We also kicked British arse in New Orleans under Andrew Jackson. THAT is how we earned our nickname "the Volunteers". We just reinforced it w/Texas - Tennesseans really do like to shoot things.

Tennesseans obviously had the foresight to know that one day LSU and TAMU would be our SEC brethren ergo we did some volunteering to make it so. Jackson also did some heavy lifting in Florida because we're just cool like that.

And stab things. And burn things. And punch, kick and head butt things. Remember that guy from school who always got into fights, for no reason other than he liked to fight? Imagine a whole state full of them, and then give them weapons, That's Tennessee.
