It's used the morning after unprotected sex or a condom break... or even a rape... to prevent conception. It doesn't cause a miscarriage or abortion. It simply prevents an egg from being fertilized.

I don't think it's a fetus yet when you are taking Plan B.

And there it is, my friends, THE BOTTOM frickING LINE.
Don't like the benefits, find another job.

I hear you on that front.
I'm just pointing out the possible consequences of expanding the logic of this ruling. In theory, why couldn't a company say they only believe in the power of prayer? Get them out of any mandate for employers because of their "religious beliefs".
Just a thought, not really making an argument either way.

Part of Obamacare's problem was providing exemptions, I think. Once they provided some exemptions to this rule, it is hard for them to say "but privately held corporations have to do it" and claim it is the least restrictive means to the goal.

It's not. All Plan B is a higher dose of your standard birth control pill.

Or preventing a fertilized egg from attaching itself to the uteran wall. Some people claim that's the abortion element. But what's a seed without soil?

That's a good idea, I'm gonna try it
There shouldn't have been a mandate, but it's too late. Belle has been spending too much time with HJJ.
Hatred of our Freedom is apparently sexually transmitted

i understand, but seeing as how you and i will have a difference of opinion on the moment of conception we probably won't agree here.
which is fair enough and i respect, albeit, vehemently disagree with that side of the discussion.
now like any discussion with abortion, rape completely throws out any logic or fairness in the situation on either side.

They shouldn't have to. Any company should be able to refuse to offer any benefits for any reason. Health insurance isn't a right and it shouldn't be forced on employers to pay for it. Period. If employers want to offer it, and if some want to offer the best available to lure top notch employees, then that should be their right. Just as it should be their right to not offer and sink or swim with the employees that they can attract to their company. Freedom. Murica. Frick yeah.

The morning after pill is not RU486, it can only prevent pregnancy, not terminate an existing one. Just saying. I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV.

understood, but again, most will disagree with my opinion of the moment of conception.
you stick this in that and you better be ready for what unmitigated consequences may come with that action.

What point of conception occurs before an egg is fertilized by sperm?

Mere seconds after you utter the phrase "Damn honey, I was about to pull out but the phone rang and it startled me"?

He doesn't have the constitutional authority to overrule a SCOTUS ruling.

True.
Although, I don't think he has the stomach for another political shitstorm with everything else going on. But then again, he's not running in 2016, so who knows.
