Who determines which religious gripes are legitimate or not? Can't I just be like "uh, yeah, I'm a member of a religion where I don't have to pay taxes and can't be drafted and should be allowed to own four grenade launchers. It says so in this book here, dude. It's holy 'n' shite." I mean, religious freedom 'n' all, right?

I think it's freedom of religion that doesn't violate a civil right or original constitution.

ie. sharia law would allow for murder, losing a civil right

Photographer has to do wedding for gay couple

2 way street that went right (conservative) this go round.

So, yes, what I'm describing is something that'd be subsidized with taxes, which means that a lot of people wouldn't support it out of some principle that I don't ascribe to

Sure, it's not your money, why the frick not?

Give more money to the government to manage on our behalf, because they're doing such a wonderful job with the money they already take in

So what are you advocating for here?

Governments collect taxes. They always have and they always will. Accept that and then advocate for policies that best use this money, and not just poo-poo on anything requiring some sort of government control or oversight.

Unless you're an anarchist, of course.

I've decided that whatever it is that you do is best provided to the country for free. I'll be advocating as such with my congressman as soon as I find out what it is I'm advocating.

I conduct abortions and print SNAP benefits while building mosques for homeless, gay Muslims. So, be careful what you wish for.

This was welcome good news from washington. A RARE thing these days that the courts would choose not to discriminate against Christians for once.
