What point of conception occurs before an egg is fertilized by sperm?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've unloaded in some guts with extreme force, that would launch my DNA several feet in open air... still inside the woman, it still takes time for them to swim to the egg. Plan B stops a pregnancy in two ways. One, fricking with the egg somehow. So if I spray all up in there, and she takes it immediately, my sperm will never get there. If she waits a bit, still inside that 48 hour window, the sperm might have reached the egg, but it will be dead on arrival, as once that fertilized egg tries to attach itself to the uterus so it can start growing, it won't be able to.

This was all from what I remember in college when I used to frick this one crazy Christian chick that didn't want to be on the pill because of how it looked, hated condoms we only used them like half the time, and took plan B like it was a tic tacs. So the details might be fuzzy.

putting the p in the v.

i'm not talking in scientific terms here Belle. Please know that i am not saying "you're wrong," because you are not at all in the least. we just have a different moral relative view here.

if sperm goes up the tube as God or nature intended and was not stopped from impregnating eggs, a pregnancy has not been terminated. if sperm goes up the tube as God or nature intended and was stopped from impregnating eggs by medication, a pregnancy has not been terminated?

one way or another it stopped nature from it's course.

i'm saying that once you make the decision to have sex, the possibility of pregnancy is on the table each and every time. my stance (which will not be popular) is that i just don't like the "aw crap. i made a bad decision and want to get out of it." nature that plan B and Abortion provide*.

*RAPE IS NOT A PART OF THE ABOVE POST AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS DISCUSSION.

F**k Akin and his legitimate rape comment.

Tell that to my wife's uterus. Or maybe my sperm.

One of them is being lazy as frick right now.

So then you're against all forms of birth control, including condoms?

I can respect this view, I've just never believed it. I'm not a Christian though, and I've fricked a few Christian's that claim to think things like this, but loved my dick too much to resist.

And I think in a more advanced way, diminishing the sex to pregnancy risk level has done great things for our society. More women go to college instead of popping out babies. Not that I think that is necessarily a good thing all the time because the liberals hate the family unit, but still. It's a net positive, imo. Contraceptives are good for us.

you know i am not talking about rape and it's not fair to interject that in the conversation where we are obviously not talking about it. I fault no woman who has that horribly forced upon her and the difficult decision she has to make.

How did we get to this point?

so we needed legislation because people didn't know how to read a contract correctly?

We live in the same America, right? The one that worships at the alter of Walmart and cheap products, right? Sadly, when presented two options on health insurance(really just about any product or good) Americans will go with the cheaper without doing much investigating. In regards to health insurance, that often times meant a bare bones plan that left them hanging after a catastrophic illness or hospitalization. And that even extends to corporations that gave their employees bare bones plans as a way to cut their costs. So yes, I do think the majority of Americans were not educated on their health insurance plan before ACA was implemented, and I'd bet that number hasn't changed a whole lot.

I think the needed part was more about insurance companies selling these bare bones plans.

But ACA has been debated enough. My original point was even before ACA there were countless services covered under any given health insurance plan that 90% of people will never use.

But they don't reverse what has already happened.

Abstinence is choosing not to drive at all after drinking too much

Condoms and preventative BC are choosing a DD that you hope is a better option than you driving but still may fail you

Plan B and abortion are getting pulled over for the DUI and asking for a mulligan.

All this abortion talk reminds me of a hilarious David Cross joke.

Again, are these people being held in captivity and forced to work for these corporations? Are they denied the chance to improve their situations through night school, or a 2nd job? Are their thoughts controlled by the corporations, rendering them inept at decision making?

Ever heard the term, reap what you sew? Too little of this has the country where it is now. Instead it's reap and rape the hard working to satisfy your own wants.

I don't disagree with that. Just pointing out one of the contributing factors to the writing of the ACA.

Personally, I think the government should just provide every citizen with catastrophic, universal coverage, and let the insurance companies provide supplemental insurance for preventative care, dental, vision, minor emergencies, etc.
